Okay, I have a few questions about these weapons now that do multiple wounds (for example a weapon that does d6 damage or just says damage 3). If I hit a marine with a ork rocket for example (that has a Damage 3) and fully wound them, does it kill 3 marines or does I role 3 wounds or does my opponent do 3 armour saves or does it only kill one marine? Lascannon is another great example.

One guy takes multiple damage. Multiple hits kill multiple models.

Also, you roll to wound once and your opponent rolls 1 save. If that fails, then the 1 model takes x damage.

Mortal wounds are the exception. They roll over to new models until the whole unit is dead or there are no more mortal wounds to allocate.

To put it clearly, and to quote the 8th edition rulebook, For each shot:
1 - Hit Roll
2 - Wound Roll
3 - Allocate Wound (defender's choice)
4 - Saving Throw (just one)
5 - Inflict Damage (this is where you deal multiple wounds, but only to the one model that failed the save)

Wait... so if there are two models left in the unit and you land 10 shots, does the two marines still only make two saves? Or do they do the full 10 like in 7th ed.

No it's per wound.

Really there is also a step 0: Take your shooting unit and state which weapons are attacking which enemy units. (i.e. before you roll any dice you and your opponent know where each shot is going)

Then you go through each shot and determine its outcome.

Each hit from step 1 moves to step 2.

Each wound from step 2 moves to step 3

Each wound allocated in step 3 moves to step 4.

Each failed saving throw from step 4 mives to step 5 to apply that weapons damage.

"Land 10 shots" does nit necessarily mean that all 10 will wound.

Now, if your unit of 2 marines are an identical 2 marines (not the sgt, a heavy or a special, unless it is 2 of the same heavy or special), then you could roll all the saves for successful wounds without allocating(as fast dice).

If they are not identical then you would have to allocate the wounds before saving and then rolling saves 1 by 1 until a save is failed, the moving to step 5 before moving back to 3 with the remaining wounds.

Normal wound damage(say a damage value of 3 vs a tac marine) does not overflow to the rest of the unit.

Mortal wounds damage(ork bombs) do overflow, potentially killing multiple models in the unut.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.
