Looks pretty good. I don't know if I would take the Hellblasters though. That's a ton of points for 5 models. Might be better with a standard Predator with twin-las and las sponsons or upgrading from Rhinos to Razorbacks and putting some turrets on there since all those guys would fit anyway.

In any case, you have 9 points left over. Might as well put a storm bolter on the Baal or add a Power Sword to both Tac Squads.

If you can fit in another HQ, Elite and Heavy support you can get another 2 command points. something to think about

Also can't understand why Plasma pistols are sooo much cheaper than angelus bolters. Don't know why anyone would take the angelus bolters

Cheers, I was thinking of maybe dropping them for a Dreadnought with Las/missiles -145 points and a Priest with Jump pack and power sword - 90 points giving me 54 points left or a 2nd Dread. Thoughts?

I'm not sure where I'd find the points for those though unfortunately.

I agree, angelus bolters are horribly over priced given a storm bolter is 2 points?

Arashen, Segmentum Pacificus

looks pretty good! I agree with dropping the hellblasters; a dreadnought or two can provide comparable ranged support from a distance for fewer points.

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.

I've made some tweaks and added a 2nd list that I think I may prefer. What do you guys think? Agree with the changes?

Second one looks like you're getting a lot more for your points so i'd go with that one

Why not drop to pod and give sternguard jump packs and play them company veterans. Same statline, same deepstrike range, same upgrades, cheaper cost and better mobility?

Fair point and just drop Mephiston or run him on foot?

I like the second list a lot better. Definitely more killy. I agree with removing the pod and going for jump packs. Meph can hitch a ride in a Rhino. Not crazy about that Dread. I'd rather see a standard predator with autocannon and lascannon sponsons. Much more bang for your buck.

5 Primaris marines are 200? Ouch. You could have a full squad of Scouts with Snipers and Camo Cloaks for close to that.

Cheers. I'm thinking I could switch the sternguard and Rhinos out for:

x5 Company Vets, x5 plasma guns, x3 storm shields, jump packs.
Razorbacks, twin assault cannon
Razorbacks, twin lascannons

That would leave me with 10 points left over.

Do you think the predator is really worth it? It's 55 extra points for 3 extra wounds, the same amount of lascanon shots and 2d3 S7 ap-1 3 vs 1 S8 ap-2 D6 but the Dread doesn't degrade. The predator is definitely better but I'm not sure it's that much better?

I'm also debating swapping Lemartes out for a stock priest with jump pack and power sword. Lemartes is good but he only really benefits my DC. Whilst the priest is more flexible can bring back any of my marines and gives +1 S which is really nice.

If I make all of those changes I'll have 49 points leftover so I'd need to find an extra 7 points and I could swap the Dread out for the predator.

Are your primaris points correct? I've thought both hellblasters and intercessors should be 100 points cheaper than in your list.

I think Xirax is right. 5 Hellblasters is 190 points while 5 Intercessors are just 100 points. That should allow you a few more bodies.

On the issue of Lemartes vs Priest, I think that a Priest will work much better in this list. Have him hang around with high cost multi-wound dudes like the Hellblasters or Sanguinary Guard and you can maximise the value of anyone he heals. Lemartes work best with DC to fuel their rerolls.

I love the Pred. The autocannon is heavy 2D3 and it does 3 damage per hit. No need to roll. With 48" range it just sits there blasting away. It's super consistent in damage output, plus the sponsons can target individual units/models. Twin weapons need to fire at the same target. For me, it's an auto include.

I thought 200 points sounded way too high

Man, my maths was way out! Haha. I've tweaked the points on both lists. The first is now 209 points short.

I made the suggested changes to my 2nd list and its now 100 points short.

Still leaning towards the 2nd list? What do you guys think the additional points could go on for both lists?

I do it all the time, but that's a good problem to have! On the first list, I would probably trade out Rhinos for Razorbacks. Give yourself some much needed dakka.

On the second list, I would put a Power Fist on the Priest. He hits on a 2+, so the Power First will have him hitting on a 3+. I'd drop one Sanguinary Guard, and add in a Sanguinary Ancient. He's 4 wounds and will let you reroll 1s for to wound rolls. If you add him, you can drop all the Death Masks on the Guard and just give 1 to the Ancient since they don't stack. Actually, if Dante is running with the Guard, you don't need the masks at all. Looks good though. Similar to my list.
