Subject: Few questions about 8th ed

So I was thinking about getting back into 8th ed but I was wondering a few things to help me choose an army:
- How are the allies rules now? specifically CSM + guard or GSC + guard
- Is there still pre-measuring?
I guess that's it off the top of my head, but with no one close enough to ask I turn to you folks online
EDIT: Hmm, though it was released this week but double checking I guess it's the 17th, oh well I guess I'll leave this up if someone got the book early

1. Can't do first, can do second (with some cavefeats). Allies only happen now if every unit in your army shares at least 1 faction keyword (i.e. Imperium). To have Guard and Chaos together, you'll ahve to wait Index: Chaos from FW to use Renegade & Heretics
2. I think so.

AI & BFG: / BMG: Mr. Freeze, Deathstroke / Battletech: SR, OWA / Fallout Factions: BoS / HGB: Caprice / Malifaux: Arcanists, Guild, Outcasts / MCP: Mutants / SAGA: Ordensstaat / SW Legion: CIS / WWX: Union

It makes me wonder if GW will ever release an official renegade codex

forge world has you covered. although it's a good question if the chaos index will have rules for renegades or not, sadly it doesn't seem so :(

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two |

Technically they did at one point, but it wasn't a full codex. The Eye of Terror Lost and the Damned was as close as a renegade codex as you could get.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |
