WH40k 8th Points, Power Levels or both? What are wanting to use?
I know we had another thread like this, but some of us feel the choices were limited, so. The idea is just to get a feeling of what the community is planning on using. Not what is superior, that has been going around in circles for over a dozen pages on the other thread as I post this.
I will say right off the bat what our group is looking at using Power Levels for pick up games for the most part and Points when we want to be competitive. We tend to buy all the options we can normally so we do not see it as a big change other than it will just speed up throwing a list together.

Literally the top thread of this section at time of writing.

Duplicate thread, duplicate argument:
Peregrine, in every thread wrote:Points. The conventional points system is superior in every possible way. The time savings of using a less-accurate point system is trivial, and everything that can be done with the less-accurate point system can be done just as well with the more-accurate point system. And every criticism of the more-accurate point system applies just as much to the less-accurate point system.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices. |

This is not the point of this Poll. The point is to get a more accurate reading of the Dakka community on the Point vs Power Level opinion, not what is better.

I understand that, I just don't want this to be a repeat of the other one, I know it is wishful thinking, but it is better than ranting on the other one and adding fuel to the fire.
