So, like the title says, I haven't painted a miniature in about 6 years until my friend talked me back into it in time for 8th edition. Nabbed a get started set and got painting, and just wanted to show off my first miniature in a while. I know there's some touching up that needs to be done but I'm relatively proud of what I've done so far.

Any C&C other than clean up loose paint is welcome.

Nice work. Not entirely sure how I feel about the use of gold thorns, but overall, nice job. I'm picturing it with the more classic black thorny pattern (and it'd look goooood).

How many are you doing? The GW Biel-Tan army was my all time favourite Eldar army that they've painted/built (I think it was their launch army for 3rd or 4th).

I just wanted to add some bling to this guy. I'm taking a fast and loose policy to uniformization of my guys, so black thorns will probably come up soon. For now I'm just doing the get started set but I'm aiming to grab some aspect warriors once I'm done, probably hawks because those are my favourite model-wise. I do tend to paint the aspects in craftworld colours though so if you're expecting lots of different colour schemes you'd probably be disappointed.

Aspects in colours of the Craftworld...HERESY! :d You must embrace the rainbow which is Eldar.

Nice especially for your first mini in Yonks. Plus, always good to see more Eldar

I'm a fan of craftworld coloured aspects personally

Looks good! I know white can be a pain to deal with but you pulled it off really well.

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.

Nice job. I think your paints could use a bit more thinning though.
Also, did you use a black primer? It looks like you put multiple white layers, which shouldn't really be needed if you started from a white primer.

I like it, including the gold thorns

Great model! The freehand thorn patterns look awesome. Maybe color the shuriken catapults in silver though, so they match the rest of the bike

Paint thinning is definitely something I'm working on. I started with a white primer but I originally had pure white scar as a final layer which I decided to go back on and made it a highlight instead. This does mean that the white is quite thick on this guy. I think I've managed to make it better for my next couple of jetbikes though.

Cheers, I went with black guns because that's how I coloured them for my old Eldar and I kept it in for nostalgia's sake.

Nice job, good work on the white, I like the gold thorns but maybe a touch of black edging to make the pop more. But overall, good job.
