I watched the little video they posted today, and I noticed the contact point on the inceptor marines is very tiny. I was thinking about replacing it with a metal rod.

I've attempted this before and done it with a degree of success, but I was wondering:

a. Is anyone planning on replacing the clear plastic?
b. Does anyone have any helpful tips for using metal rods instead?

TIA

It definitely looks pretty weak-sauce from the video...metal rods are pretty easy to mount, just make sure you have a stable base and a decent point to drill. Use brass rods/tubes from your local hobby shop.

Seems pretty easy to bend in a coat hanger and jam it all up in them.

i will probably end up doing so if they break.

Damn meme generator. Was going for a "no wire hangers" thing.

The new flight bases, is the plastic recyclable? Because if it is I would have something positive to say about them.

I am going to sculpt a swoosh thingy from one of there feet and attach that to the base. Probably sculpt it around a brass rod for strength.

I would replace it with a sturdier rod, painted black or something inconspicuous.

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.
