The Stormtalon lists it's Interceptor ability as: add 1 to hit rolls when targeting units that 'cannot' fly.

while others list the Interceptor ability as: add 1 to hit rolls when targeting units that 'can' fly. either a typo or this thing is really powerful, especially next to a Captain it basically has auto hit with 18 shots (twin assault cannon & twin heavy bolters)

I'm pretty sure it had strafing run in 7th? So this is replicating that, probably should have been called something different.

An interceptor would probably be more anti air dog fighting but yeah the storm talon had the ability to add 1 against ground units.

Yeah I think this is an update on its Strafing Run. I don't know why they called it Interceptor though, it seems deliberately confusing.

The DA flyers have strafing run, which is the same rule, just with the right name.

I’m chalking this up to a copy/paste error. At least the rule verbage is correct, just the name is off. Which should eliminate some RAW arguments.

Agreed, why rename a lot of the same abilities in the first place? Seems like it's just forcing people to re-learn the same things with a different name.

Yep, seems the typo is the name (which as has been stated is more a copy paste error, less a typo.)

Silly and creates confusion, but at least it ultimately has the right rule.

As the talon doesn't get the same machine spirit that a Stormraven gets. That +1 to hit against non-fly troops is good, because it pretty much is -1 to hit with it's weapons most of the time for movement.

And if you don’t mind getting shot at, you can hover and strafe. No movement penally, plus one to hit.

Then your BS is probably going down due to wounds taken, but at least you got the Dakka in.
