Basic Tactics- The Guard basically provide fire support, along with the vindicare assassins and target any threats to my lovely assassins, my assassins jump out the Eversor try and get as many turn 1 assaults off as possible along with the callidus assassins if they are close enough. Any assassins I chose not to charge with turn 1 stand behind the culexus assassin.

Honestly besides fighting other gimmick lists (like spacemarine stormtalon spam) the only hiccup I can think of is getting off sufficient charges. Could end up with swingy situations where an assassin ends up in a melee by himself.

Thing to note: Since you'll be going second with this list your lascannons are at risk of being nuked by the enemy list if they have their turn 1 charge mechanic or a lot of ranged firepower. The loss of these lascannons against a list that has a good number of vehicles can become an hour and a half of frustration for you.

This list looks like an absolute blast to play, and will make most of your friends hate you.

Looks great and interesting to face! It'd be weird no being able to shoot large amounts of your army until the infantry squads are dead...

Fully Painted Armies: 2200pts Orks 1000pts Space Marines 1200pts Tau 2500pts Blood Angels 3500pts Imperial Guard/Renegades and 1700pts Daemons 450pts Imperial Knights

In terms of turn one charge you have 10 command points to help with re-rolls.

The Vindicare assassins deploy in the backfield away from my Lascannons so that the enemy has to split he's assault force to deal with them.

If you play turn 1 assault against my army good luck as I have plenty of assassins who will charge you in my turn and will outclass almost anything in the game.

In terms of them shooting my Lascannons Turn 1, that is a potential issue, deployment will be vital to try and limit incoming fire. In addition to the Lascannons the Eversor assain has a melta bomb and the Callidus has a Nueral shredder to chip in a few wounds, however the Culexus assassin is only hit on 6+ with shooting and combat so I can use him to soak up damage from really dangerous tanks. I Could think of another way to get enough units so that I can reserve my combat assassins whilst giving me some anti-tank and enough command points then I would consider it. The problem is for the points I Cannot think of another way. Space Marine Scouts would be less effective with just a missile launcher and that's it and the HQ's are more costly so I don't think it's even possible. I will take a look at Ad Mech but again I don't think they are cheap enough.

I am now looking at Adepta Soriatas to see if they can give me the anti-tank, the problem is they can only get multi-melta which is quite short range- Just checked sisters are too expensive. SO it looks like imperial guard is my only option.

Have you considered one large blob of conscripts with a commissar? Would be handy to up the body count without being excessive. Plus it'd protect your vindicares and lascannon squads more.

I did consider 20 conscripts but I would have to drop a Lascannon Squad (not really what I want). The points are tight so fitting in a Lord commisar would be difficult, I would have to drop a Callidus for an Eversor and drop a psyker.

I am considering dropping a psyker for a priest, would make my infantry squads better in combat if it comes to it..
