Hello all
Would like to get your view on warlord kill (slay the warlord), it says you get a victory point if a warlord was slain during the battle. What if he was revived by a apothecary or another character with a similar ability? Would the point still be given?
Thanks

By the way the rule is worded 'If the enemy Warlord has been slain during the battle', I think you definitely would. He was slain and then later revived.
A little silly, but hey!

Apothicaries can't revive characters.

True but a Warlord doesn't necessarily need to be a Character, you just need to nominate a model and if it is a Character, they get to use a Warlord trait.

How do you select a unit if it isn't there?
The rules for the Narthecium state you must select a unit, heal a wounded model if there is one or attempt to revive a slain model if one has been killed previously. If a Character dies, there is generally no unit left behind to target and revive.

It doesn't say that but the implication is within the character tag itself; you have to target a unit in order to do it, a character is a unit unto himself. Thus, when the character dies, the unit dies and he cannot be revived as you cannot target the unit as it is no longer there.

Sharky, don't feel bad. THe confusion comes from the first part of the rule, which states a "model" can be X. But then it does say the apoc targets the unit.
Honest mistake.

Depends on how you read it, I guess. My reading of it is if they were slain at least once, you get 1 VP.
For reference:
Slay the Warlord: If the enemy Warlord has been slain during the battle, you score 1 victory point.
It just checks if they were slain at all, then gives 1 point - kill the warlord twice, he was slain during the battle, so you get 1 point. That's how I see it.
