As the title shows I'm looking at Calgar's signature weapons in 8th edition, which is Rapid fire 2 S4 Ap -1 2 Damage.

So my question is, Calgar has 2 gauntlets, does he get 2 shots or 4 at 24" range?

I personally would say its 4 shots but my friend says its only 2 as in the profile it says "Gauntlets of Ultramar".

Your friend is correct. There is no indication that you use anything other than the one profile given for both gauntlets.
