I can't decide which is more clever, how to clear a drop zone or the artillery reference in the footnotes.
Though any Blue Oyster Cult reference is awesome. This unit is a pleasant surprise. I was so close to grabbing an Eversor, hopefully these can fit that role and let me stay pure Astartes

In a nutshell: Reivers are loyal Night Lords. Truly an innovative idea.
I can´t wait to see the new Primaris psykers. I guess their main psychic discipline is Summoning just to vex the Word Bearers.

Goes along with the idea that new Primaris stuff might be derived from loyal gene seed from traitor legions

Idk, demons of the Emperor might be interesting. He is basically a warp god at this point.
Could take the form of angels.

To be fair
ALL space marines are Nightlords
all of them are about hard core shock tactics and scaring the bejeebus out of the enemy
night lords just dress for halloween while the reivers play loud music.

But why though? We already have the Legion of the Damned. Those are basically warp entities, right? Weren't they originally the Fire Hawks, who died in some warp explosion, and got reborn as warp denizens? Isn't Celestine also a warp entity, powered by her faith in the emperor? Bear with me, I don't know many of the finer details about Imperial lore. Keep in mind as well that demons are not the only denizens of the warp; there are other things in that live in there, its just we see demons more often because of the strength of their patron gods. There are also supposed to be representations of more positive human emotions, and in WHFB there were minor warp gods that represented things like nature and storms. It could be that we might see a return of such concepts, with imperials summoning these more benign, elemental forces.

Nope. All SM are sort of special forces. Then you have different flavour of SM to satisfy the customer´s needs.
Night Lords are all about terror tactics. Therefore they use a skull design and adorn their armour with flayed skin. That´s their MO and identity. To copy&paste their appearance and MO for all loyal chapters is beyond stupid. Couldn´t they come up with a better idea? Apparently not. This happens, when you fire people with imagination and replace them with lawyers and bean counters. And then the unit name itself: Reiver! Is this a spelling mistake? Gimme a break!
What would happen, if you freely mix different flavours of marines? You would end up with hooded, wolfriding and bloodsucking smurfs. Spike´s wet dream would finally come true.

Try research. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Border_Reivers Much like how Ancient is an archaic word for an ensign or standard bearer, Reiver is an archaic spelling of Reaver. That appears to be the naming convention they are going for with Primaris.

On the one hand: Yay! I get some loyalist Night Lord Models (that are cheap as well!) to convert!
But on the other hand: Boo! Loyalists are getting new Night Lord models before Night Lord players.
I'm gonna have to go mull this over (whilst listening to some BOC! Seasons don't fear the Reaper...).

Of course they have. Reivers have the same MO & appearance like the Night Lords. This is one of the most lazy designs that GW ever tried to peddle to their unwary customers. Reminds me of the awful Blood Angel Stormcasts. Total rip-off. But today anything goes.
Does Roboute fit in a Rhino? No? Never mind, in December he and his Uber-Marines will get access to their very own sled. And it will be Texas-sized to accomodate their immense bulk. Jesus, space puppies will be envious indeed.
