So after buying the Forge World death guard convention kit for terminators, I got a little annoyed after finding I can't take em now.
I know they are chaos/ heretic marines ect, but not actual Death Guard.
So I pestered the 40k Facebook page and asked if it was an "oversight"?
Got told as they currently do not make a model for em, they did not release rules for them. But sit tight and wait till next month, lots in the pipeline.
I linked the guy to the Forge World site where it explicitly states DEATH GUARD terminators, and low and behold I was told I was right, the terminator thing is in fact an oversight on their part. And he had added it to his list of erratas.
Also while I'm here anyone else find it odd that to get troop legion marines all you have to do is faction them to their legion, even if it's not your army?

Aren't those death guard terminators a 30k unit, though i AM fairly sure we're going to be getting 40k death guard erminators since it was mentioned that death guard are getting a codex.

Are they all 'Nurgleified' or are they just evil looking, if they're just a bit evil i bet they're not intended as 40k units just 30k that can be 40k guys

Wait, what??

I bought the FW Terminator upgrades 2 weeks before 8th came out, and was VERY disappointed that DG could not take termies! So you are saying GW made a mistake???

Guys, we've seen actual pictures of new DG terminators in promotional material from Games Workshop. I think you can relax about having access to terminators.

Definately not a 30k unit - 40k. The conversion kit has been around since Vraks.

Kind of amused that it turned out to be an error on GW's part.

It's what you get for just looking in the Studio cabinet and not actually paying attention to people's armies....

Good news, that bothered me too. I also hope we get our Zerker and Noise marine termies too. 1ksons are the only cult termies in the index

Because they have their own Cult Terminator kit. Expect the same for others.

I dont think it is an error - I think they are not releasing them until they have the models out.

Of course it's not an error. Why would GW write rules for FW models?

Far too much being read into these indexes. They are stop=gap releases. When the dexes come out then we will have a better idea.

I do not see FW writing rules for the DG Terminator conversion kit. It is far more likely instead that (if the DG release ever goddamn drops) the kit will be renamed to match whatever Cult Terminator unit that the DG inevitably get to replace Terminators in their list.

Remember when Squats disappeared?

Or when there was no GSC rules in the 3rd ed rulebook?

Kind of like there's a precedent for 'stop gap' lists and absent units tend to raise red flags.

We've seen a single supposed Terminator. It also looks like arse. For all we know it could be a random special character. Until we see more than 1 it's really not confirmed and is a lot of assumption.

With no guarantee existing DG terminators will have loadouts compatible with that entry, much like thousand sons. Bit annoying if you already had DG terminators.

This is exactly what I mean when I refer to getting 'Scarab Occult'd'.

The fact they got stuck with Power Swords is a direct rub to anyone who had Thousand Sons cult terminators from 2nd edition onwards - especially when you consider there have only been two Chaos Terminator power sword arms since Rogue Trader - and one of them is on what is effectively the wrong side. How could you have expected Thousand Sons players to have modelled their Terminators with power swords when power swords were never really available?
