Hi everyone,
New to 8th edition and 40k and I've split the dark Imperium box set with a friend. So far we've had a couple of battles (I got the primaris marines) and I've lost heavily every time. Was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to beat the Death guard?
Thanks

Stay away from them as long as possible. Deathguard will slaughter in melee you if you don't.

how will they slaughter you in melee? the plaguemarines certainly won't with only 1 attack, or am I missing something? the lord of contagion will destroy anything it touches, though

The jump pack guys look like they are designed for assault, but they are not. You need to keep them firing. So even though you can deep strike just outside of 9", don't. Drop them at maximum range of their target and far from everything else.

Oh and never deploy them on the board - obviously. No need to make them a target before they can act.

Protect the hellblasters. Keep the captain near them and probably the lieutenants too. Ovecharge them to kill the drone with the captain letting them reroll 1s.
