The following is just a thought about Lorgar. I don't believe, expect, or even want the fluff to go down this road, as I like being able to blame Lorgar for the heresy, and the fall of the Imperiums brightest star to chaos.

But now that even Roboute is having some... Thoughts... About the Emperors Godhood, lets say that the Emperor finally ascends and becomes a God in the warp just as big and powerful as any of the other 4.

What is Lorgars next move? He more or less seems like the poster primarch for worshipping Chaos undivided, which up until that point would be synonymous with being a warp diety. At least thats how I currently understand it.

Whats Lorgar to do?

I'm fairly sure Lorgar would still only worship the Big 4. Firstly, he ascended to daemonhood through the (presumably) patronage of all four Chaos Gods, so he's tied to them regardless and its not like he'll switch Gods like a person changes clothes. Furthermore, he's got personal history and issues with the Emperor, and even if the Emps was to become a significant warp deity (which he already technically is at some level) he'd probably decry him for the heresy/vanity of trying to challenge the Gods he follows. I mean Lorgar (with some prodding via Erebus and Kor Phaeron) started the Heresy after all. The Emperor's ascension could possibly be the thing that triggers Lorgar into launching a crusade of his own against the Imperium now that Emps is no longer stuck on the Golden Throne.

Correct my memory if I'm wrong, but hasn't Lorgar hiding out in a church doing yoga for the past 10k years?

Throw an epic hissy-cow and launch a crusade of his own, intent on burning everything.

Also throw around an awful lot of smug 'I told you so' at various folks, but I think ultimately his grudges will overcome his smug.

I fully expect him to show up and taunt Roboute at some point regardless. In a 'How do you like the world your actions help create?' sort of way. And to point out that his (Lorgar's) original vision was much less horrifying.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

Well at least we still git something in 40K that took the grimdark irony pill. Lorgar would honestly be able to rub it in The Gorillaman''s face that his original path was indeed better then 40Ks present end result.
