Hi all,

Just setting up a showcase thread for my Flesh-Eater Courts.
This is my first foray into Age of Sigmar. Having browsed most of the existing rules in search of an army I like I decided to settle with the Flesh-Eater Courts. They are a nice, fleshy, meaty, vicera-covered departure from my typical projects (my other two main projects are Horus Heresy Death Guard and Space Rhinos - so... Marines... Marines everywhere ). I love this faction, the old style Strigoi vampire and Ghoul-army aesthetic is just awesome. Other observation I would make is that I am very pleased/pleasantly surprised with the Age of Sigmar ruleset. Not to be discussed here of course but I have to say I like what I've read so far.

Anyway, I have picked up two of the 'Start Collecting! Flesh-Eater Courts' boxes and am sinking my fangs into them with visceral joy. The first addition to the showcase is one of my two Terrorgheists:

Next up is an Abhorrent Ghoul King. I will subsequently paint my Ghouls and Horrors and the grand finale for this first wave will be an Abhorrent Ghoul King riding a Terrorgheist (which I will actually try to repose this time rather than going with the stock pose).

That's a spooky looking guy. I like everything about it (especially the flesh and bone tones)

Thanks!
Since I'm going for an ice/snow theme I wanted to make the flesh look as if it had frostbite, so a lot of dull, dark purples and pinks. I really like how it turned out in the end. For once I very much achieved the effect I wanted to go for! Hopefully I can replicate it for the next one!

This project has been a little slow getting off the ground but I am still working on it intermittently. Main problem is that work picked up in the last couple of months and will continue to dominate my life for a while. So until I catch a break I doubt there will be any major updates. That being said, I just finished base coating my Ghoul King on Zombie Dragon - I'm naming them Night King and Viserion... or is it too soon?
