And the Primis Librarian is the exact same points cost as the Old Librarian.
Remember when GW promised they weren't going to replace OldMarines and force you to buy new ones? I've said it before and I'll say it again, GW are arranging it so when 9th edition drops, all old-marine kits and rules will be removed, special characters will be upgrade to Primaris in the lore and all your old models will be useless or forced to to be countsas NuMarines.

And the Primaris Captain is not cheaper than the regular Captain (base points.) That's as much evidence that they're not being replaced as the Librarians being the same points. Stop worrying about Marines being replaced until kits start being taken off shelves.

You should do like to complain don't you? When you say they will become "useless", you mean "useless" like the older marines? Oh wait, those aren't useless.

The first rule of unarmed combat is: don’t be unarmed. |

It's not the end of the friggin world if they do. My Nids have lived through two full or nearly full line revamps and I can STILL bring my 2nd Edition Gaunts and Warriors alongside my 3rd Edition Hive Tyrants, Zoanthropes, Biovores and Raveners and my current line Trygons, Genestealers and Carnifex. Hell, the Carnifex are in the same unit and all three have different base sizes and one of them is the 3rd Edition Beetle. Get over it and retire your models when you want to, since GW hasn't banned any of their old stuff that got updated models.

People get weird about marines. No idea why, they're easily the least interesting faction in 40k.

That's why I'm a guardsman myself, no fancy super humans and high tech gear, just pure grit and bravery.

Sweet, I'll use my Marines as "counts as" Primaris in 9th. That'll save me all types of cash.

The difference here is they didn't release a model called Warrior 2: Electric Boogaloo and stopped all the rules for Warriors.

yeah except if they release 9th edition a year from now and dont give updated rules for standard Marines, no one (worth playing with) is going to be upset if you run your assault marines as inceptors.

Hell, I'd be willing to bet hard cash that it would even be legal in most tournaments.
