Now that people have gotten a few good games under their belts I thought I’d find out what the general consensus is regarding taking Aspect Warriors over the other options available to the Eldar factions?

As a big fan of the Aspect Warriors i was hoping that with the release of the 8th edition that they would become a viable option but looking through their rules on paper they seem a bit lackluster, especially for their points cost. Now how they look on paper can be very misleading so i am hoping that their performance on the table top tells a different story.

Do you feel that they are balanced correctly or do you feel that they could be changed to help them perform their dedicated task better? For example should the cost of Dire Avenger be bought more in line with a tactical Marine, as at the moment despite the Avenger unit being power level 3 to a tactical Marines units 5 they are actually 4 points per model more for apparently no reason .

I can only state on Dire Avengers, Swooping Hawks and Dark Reapers, so didn't vote yet as i have to give the others a go.
Avengers are too overpriced. They do their job and are handy to throw in the way of assault chaff but their price tag isn't justified.
Reapers are a glass cannon. Their save is ok when in cover but the wounds get piled on quickly with t3 and only so much mobility. They do however pack a mean punch if they survive long enough.
Hawks are plain awesome for a small price tag. The ld buff is gimmicky as it would cut mobility to make use of. The grenades are swingy but hilarious once you roll a few sixes. Skyleap and new deepstrike grants free reign over any uncontested objectives/linebreaker.

I don't want the best army, just one that isn't an exercise in picking up my models by turn 3.

The game doesn't need super space marines, it needs more variety.

It doesn't matter if you're not dominating the game; if you have 3-4 x as many models and options than the rest of us and you're still getting new kits, we're still gonna rip on the faction. If I had 100 + Drukhari kits all in plastic to choose from, or 100 + Sisters kits, I think I'd be more likely to be receptive to Space Marine player's complaints about anything.

Extremely weak, but with 4 shots each at half range some wounds will leak through
