So I am making some lists for my Space Marine army, and the time for deciding anti armour has come.

I am leaning towards either a squad of Centurion Devastators all with lascannons and missile launchers, or two Predators all loaded upp with Lascannons. Which would be more effective, do you think?

Here's the breakdown:
The Centurions are slightly more expensive (a Force Axe worth of points), with the differences offensively being that the Predators have two more Lascannon shots and and Devastators have their Missile Launchers. So offensively they are pretty much equal. The Centurions might be more effective since the missile launchers can potentially shoot 9 missiles that do D3 damage each. The Devastators also ignore moving with their heavy weapons, and ignore cover when the sarge is alive.

What about defence? Well, a Predator is obivously more hardy than the Centurions. Combined they have more than double the Centurions wounds, and they have higher toughness. However the Centurions have a better save, and they can benefit from standing in cover, making them even harder to kill.

What do you think, Centurion Devastators or Predators? The predators can also use the Autocannon which is pretty baller, but I think I'm personally leaning towards the Centurions, mostly because I like elite infantery and I actually quite enjoy their models.

EDIT: Also worth noting is the actual price of the models. The Centurions are a much cheaper options, as well as more fun and quicker to paint than the vehicles. Atleast for me.

Predators can reposition much better as well.

I'm in a similar dilemma and I'm leaning towards the Centurions. Standing in cover effectively negates the first -1 AP of an enemy's weapon. Being able to move and shoot without penalty is also a huge advantage, especially when you might have other penalties to deal with (Psyker debuff, Culexus, Vindicare, Flier, e.t.c.).

Yeah, that's what I'm feeling as well. Will probably go with the Centurions, see how they work out
