With the removal of the assault vehicle rules Landraiders, as a transport, are no different from Rhinos now anyway
Except better Strength, toughness, save, wounds, leadership (
lol) and Power of the Machine Spirit and can transport terminators, Jump Packs and Centurions, has better weapons, moves a little slower and double the close combat capability.
Yeah, totally the same because you can't disembark after moving anymore.
Hence why i put "as a transport" in the sentence.
You seem to have missed the point.
Yes it has better firepower but
as a transport it doesn't actually play any differently than any other. As in, previously with Rhinos you had to mindful of where you disembarked as piling out of the back or side hatches because any combat unit in there wasn't going to get a charge off. A Landraider, having an
assault ramp didn't have that problem as you could charge out of it. This made a distinction between the two vehicles roles as an APC and an assault vehicle in their rules and as a result they were played differently on the tabletop.
I don't know why you're trying to make out like I have a massive issue with it, like I'm being salty, when I'm just pointing out a change in how the vehicles work now. The point being, maybe I didn't make it clear, the benefit of taking a larger vehicle (baneblade in this case) that with 3" disembark giving you a larger threat range with which you can potentially make make charges isn't such a big deal now you can charge out of everything.
