Seeing as these miniatures have appeared in this topic, I received word that the next Kickstarter is up and running. This time for the beret wearing, AK troopers and the Catachan Straken proxy:

There will be helmeted versions and "chip-hatted" versions soon... plus the long awaited Priest . I have some other things in the future (including some casualties) so there is still Dwarf stuff in the pipeline .

I do like the old squat helmet. Ta mate I do have three that I added the helmet so they will fit well.

This week, I received a bunch of "AK trooper" casts from Macrocosm. They are multiples of the Chip-Hat and Helmet conversions that I recently finished.

I got five casts of each trooper so two of each will get head-swaps and three of each will go in my army (as DKoK troops, probably). I may convert a few more (I need to make some special/heavy weapon troopers and a medic... plus (maybe) an officer or two)...

That said, I am not doing much of any hobby at the moment because I've got a lot going on in real life (nothing dreadful, just chores/work) and really don't have much spare time.

It would appear that a bout of illness has forced me to find something to do... in this case, paint another squad of Catachan Infantry :



There is another Infantry Squad on the painting table so I am getting things done while I am unable to get much else done ...

The next part of the big project is to build a proxy DKoK element but I will need to sculpt a few more bits and bobs for that... starting with three Commissars .

I am in the process of sculpting a Yarrick proxy but I am struggling with drapery... so I may have to strip things down and start the coat again... but I'm getting there (slowly) .

Thanks . I went for a short, simple design so that they were fairly easy to sculpt.
