All of your Noise Marines do have to many weapons. 4 Noise marines = 3 Blaster, 1 Blastmaster, 1 Noise Champion with either Sonic Blaster or Combi-melta.
Same is true for all your Daemon Prince's - two talons + a Warpbolter is one weapon to many.
I personally don't know how you want to deal with high Toughness to be honest.

Main problem I see is having your Noise Marines boxed up in Rhinos for a turn maybe even 2 until they get into position.
You're putting out minimal firepower if any for those 2 turns and going to take a lot in return.
Second as well how to deal with high T armies.

Fill out your squads to 10 man, drop 3 rhino's, add some anti high toughness, and your set.

Why is a warpbolter not a good choice? It's 9 points and the only ranged choice?
Anyway to OP, I would drop the rhinos as they are dreadful for price imo, good luck!

No, its a third weapon - the Daemon prince cannot wear 2 claws AND the bolter.

I'm not sure where the bolts come out of the plastic DP, but the metal CSM DP is pretty clear: (As are the rules ) Crusaderobr wrote:Fill out your squads to 10 man, drop 3 rhino's, add some anti high toughness, and your set.
Same thoughts from me: too many rhinos, too many guns in the noise boys, could use more dudes and anti-big stuff. Maybe move champ combi-meltas to the rhinos for a little boost while you're at it? Mourningstar wrote:Chaos Lord on Steed of Slaanesh, Combi-Melta, Power Fist
Originally people were saying combi-flamer on Steed Lord was the way to go. 12+ D6" move followed by D6 S4 autohits and then 12" into combat. Stupidly fast. Admittedly the combi-melta does the same thing, except with a 3+ (reroll 1) melta shot into somebody instead of auto S4s. - Salvage

Im wondering, I have a model daemon which is holding a sword, technically it has 2 sets of claws and a sword, can I use the two sets of claws? Hell last edition you couldn't use a sword so I don't see much difference.

I'm running emperor's children as well, general consensus is to not put noise marines in rhinos? Maybe use warp time instead?

I've just came away from a trio of 1000pt matches with both Rubrics and Noise Marines involved. Don't mount either unit. Noise Marines can get Warptime'd and Advance and shoot at almost anything, stick them mid field. What DOES belong in the power armored conveyor, is Berserkers, and Plasma "cheap-as-chips' Marines. If your paying for shooting at 24' in a game that is now about Turn 1 alpha strikes, 24+ " movements fliers that have a minimum of 20' and all sorts of other nonsense, they'll have targets at Rapid fire range turn two. (And most Noise Marines will have targets turn 1) Especially, given that no target is wasted shots(Wounding anything above T7 on a 6+) and your only -1 to hit on three shots a model, should you choose top advance on the IG/Tau/Stormtrooper/Admech in cover. and you deny that precious cover. Curious to see if concentrated effort from 10 noise marines can bust a Chimera Turn 1

Thanks everyone! I will take your advice and think on it.
A few questions:
For high toughness I was on the Melta/throw a lot of dice on it plan--is that not viable?
As for Rhinos, I always loved putting them in a V formation and shooting out of that while blocking charges/getting cover--not viable?
For weapon load outs, reading/debating the book I was under the impression that twin Talons and a Warp Bolter was legal--as was the Noise Champion taking both a Combi weapon and a Sound Blaster. Am I mistaken? Some help would be appreciated.
Thanks again!

So, after looking at the Index again--I am fairly confident the Noise Champions can take both a sound blaster and a Combi Weapon and that Daemon Princes can have 2x Talons and a Bolter.
Taking that, and all of your advice (except maybe the need for more anti-high T stuff), I came up with this:
++ Battalion Detachment +3CP (Chaos - Chaos Space Marines) [58 PL, 1107pts] ++
+ No Force Org Slot +
Legion: Emperor's Children
+ HQ +
Daemon Prince with Wings [11 PL, 189pts]: Malefic talon, Slaanesh, Warp bolter
Daemon Prince with Wings [11 PL, 189pts]: Malefic talon, Slaanesh, Warp bolter
+ Troops +
Noise Marines [12 PL, 243pts]: 9x Noise Marine, Replace Boltgun w/ blastmaster, 8x Replace Boltgun w/ sonic blaster
. Noise Champion: Combi-melta, Sonic blaster
Noise Marines [12 PL, 243pts]: 9x Noise Marine, Replace Boltgun w/ blastmaster, 8x Replace Boltgun w/ sonic blaster
. Noise Champion: Combi-melta, Sonic blaster
Noise Marines [12 PL, 243pts]: 9x Noise Marine, Replace Boltgun w/ blastmaster, 8x Replace Boltgun w/ sonic blaster
. Noise Champion: Combi-melta, Sonic blaster
++ Battalion Detachment +3CP (Chaos - Chaos Space Marines) [50 PL, 893pts] ++
+ No Force Org Slot +
Legion: Emperor's Children
+ HQ +
Chaos Lord on Steed of Slaanesh [10 PL, 133pts]: Combi-melta, Lashing tongue on Steed of Slaanesh, Power fist
Sorcerer [7 PL, 109pts]: Force sword, Plasma pistol
+ Troops +
Noise Marines [7 PL, 143pts]: 4x Noise Marine, Replace Boltgun w/ blastmaster, 3x Replace Boltgun w/ sonic blaster
. Noise Champion: Combi-melta, Sonic blaster
Noise Marines [7 PL, 143pts]: 4x Noise Marine, Replace Boltgun w/ blastmaster, 3x Replace Boltgun w/ sonic blaster
. Noise Champion: Combi-melta, Sonic blaster
Noise Marines [7 PL, 143pts]: 4x Noise Marine, Replace Boltgun w/ blastmaster, 3x Replace Boltgun w/ sonic blaster
. Noise Champion: Combi-melta, Sonic blaster
+ Dedicated Transport +
Chaos Rhino [4 PL, 74pts]: Combi-bolter, Combi-bolter
Chaos Rhino [4 PL, 74pts]: Combi-bolter, Combi-bolter
Chaos Rhino [4 PL, 74pts]: Combi-bolter, Combi-bolter
++ Total: [108 PL, 2000pts] ++

Rhinos no longer have fire points, so nobody inside can shoot out of them, if that's what you were talking about with shooting out of them? And as for using Rhinos to do smart things, they're still useful tough boxes with a gun or two attached to them, but they kind of cost a lot to take 6 of them. Also I think it may take a house rule to have vehicles give cover to infantry - you might be able to completely block LOS, but they technically don't give +1 armor save ("cover" in 48k).
For weapon load outs, reading/debating the book I was under the impression that twin Talons and a Warp Bolter was legal--as was the Noise Champion taking both a Combi weapon and a Sound Blaster. Am I mistaken? Some help would be appreciated.
The DP loadout is fine. I looked at the NC options, and I guess you're right. She swaps her bolter for the sonic blaster and then traps in the bolt pistol for a combi-weapon. I still kind of like gluing the combi-meltas to the Rhinos, use the points to double down on blastmasters in the big squads.
Speaking of: no double blastmasters in the big squads?

I think having one melta on each squad might be problematic. The thing is, just one melta shot these days isn't enough to kill any kind of tank. You need more shots. However, melta is 12 inches, and your squads are likely to be spread out.
At any one point in time, if you want to kill a tank or two (or an imperial knight or two), you probably only have one or two squads that are close enough. And like I said, one or two shots of melta just isn't enough these days.
So, while you have combi meltas to help in your anti armor, they are kinda too spread out such that you will end up damaging some armor, but not being able to kill anything completely off. And if there is a very high priority armor like an imperial knight loaded with dangerous guns, its hard for you to focus fire your meltas. You would need to swarm it with all of your noise marine squads! @@
So, I think you might want to consider having more dedicated anti tank (whether in the form of lascannon havocs or such), and have your noise marines specialised to killing infantry with their sonic blastors.

Maybe:
Battalion 1:
DP, Wings, 2x Talons, Warp bolter
DP, Wings, 2x Talons, Warp bolter
10x NM, 2x master, 8x blaster
10x NM, 2x master, 8x blaster
10x NM, 2x master, 8x blaster
Battalion 2:
DP, Wings, 2x Talons, Warp bolter
CL on Steed, Combi Melta, PF
5x NM, 1x master, 4x blaster, Lightning Claw
5x NM, 1x master, 4x blaster, Lightning Claw
20x Cultists, 2x Heavy Stubber
Rhino, Combi Melta, Combi Bolter
Rhino, Combi Melta, Combi Bolter
2000 on the nose.
Noise Marines shoot up the place/get in the mix where needed. Cultists screen with new shooting rules. Rhinos transport/melta/keep DP's safe as needed.
This gets me a 3rd Prince too--and they seem really good in 8th.
EDIT:
Or maybe this?
Battalion 1:
DP, Wings, 2x Talons, Warp bolter
DP, Wings, 2x Talons, Warp bolter
10x NM, 2x master, 8x blaster
10x NM, 2x master, 8x blaster
10x NM, 2x master, 8x blaster
Battalion 2:
DP, Wings, 2x Talons, Warp bolter
CL on Steed, Combi Flamer, Lightning Claw
5x CSM, Plasma Gun, Lightning Claw
5x CSM, Plasma Gun, Lightning Claw
10x Cultists, 1x Heavy Stubber
5x Havocs, 4x Lascannon
Rhino, Combi Melta, Combi Bolter
Rhino, Combi Melta, Combi Bolter
2000 on the nose.

I think in a 2k, 2 DP's is enough. You still have other options that might buff your units better. Personally I'm a fan of sorcerers this edition. Noise Marines are an infantry slaughterhouse, and hitting on 2's with prescience is just mean. The only other thing i see, and it makes me sad, is i dont see any room to up your CSM units to 10 models. Unlocking that 2nd special weapon makes a huge difference in their damage output. Especially if they have double melta or double plasma. Just something to look into.

Noise marines, walking and shooting with a RR of 1 is real good. 7 sonic, 2 blast per 10.
Also FW Errata allows sonic reads. HelBrute with 2 blast masters... really good.
