I'm looking at both of these units for fulfilling my heavy firepower needs and I can't figure out which to use. In a general sense, which one of these is better? The Cyclonic Melta Lance and Grav-Flux Bumbard are certainly dangerous looking, but they're very short range compared to the lascannons and missile launchers of the Centurions. Conversely, the Dreadnought has more wounds and higher mobility, though he gets -1 to moving and shooting, unlike the Centurions.
I just can't tell which of these is the better heavy support answer to Imperial Knights and anti-vehicles. Anybody have some input on them?

Of the two units, the Leviathan is better against Knights if it is in 18" and has two of the Cyclonic Melta Lances.
That being said, neither unit is that points efficient against them compared to a predator or devastator squad.

Centurions have been pretty shafted in this edition. Without the ability to have champions tank for them - they just die too easy for their points. They should really have 5-6 wounds at their price - not 3. Theres really nothing better for taking out knights than a devastator squad with 4 las cannons. You could have 2 las cannons devs plus a chapter ancient and you'd still have some points left over. At least in that case if your devs get targeted they can shoot back on a 4+ if they die.
Another good option is a storm raven - the knight will have a lot of trouble killing it and I almost forced to shoot at it because that's 2 meltas to the face plus the las cannons and rockets.
I don't know about the leviathan but if it has to get within 18 inch to shoot the knight with it's guns it's already in charge range to get obliterate the next turn.

I think the storm cannons are what's good on the leviathan (10 s7 ap2 d2 shots for 50 points and you can take two of them with a 2+ to hit).
It will rip up infantry and light tanks, and the thing is about as tough to kill as a land raider. Then get Las somewhere else in the list.

I have to say, this is one of the units where I really just don't care about points efficiency. It's just that cool.
That being said, you have a 4++ in close combat. Your claw/drill will do the work against knights. It's not going to chop one in half, but you could totally do 9-12 wounds if you're still in the top bracket when you swing.

Haha, you and I have a similar mindset it seems.
Thank you both for the input! I fed both units into an online calculator and it looks like the Centurions do substantially better against a Knight in the ranged department, but the Leviathan is a great all-rounder with either Grav or Storm loadouts. So it's a tough call still.

I like the storm cannon for the versatility, but I also will never worship the false emperor, and our version of that weapon has 36" range, which is really nice.
