Have you considered swapping the knight for a kytan? Similar statline, except Magnus can warptime him right into your opponents face (after you've prescienced him for lolz). If you'd rather keep some ranged firepower, you should definitely run the knight with two avengers. They're so much more reliable than RFBC.

I prefer the second list more. Also, there isn't much point running Magnus and Ahriman as you can only cast your dark hereticus powers once per turn (so, you'll always be relying on Magnus as he has +2, unless out of range).

Edit: with a kytan, your opponent would have two tough units in his face by turn 2 (Kytan and Magnus) that he'll have to focus to stop them steamrolling through. Objectives will be safe with 120 horrors + changeling, and the flamers and prince can get in his face too.

i would swap flamers for exalted, you can hide exalted behind horrors and they are more versatile having both anti tank and anti infantry fire. I run a similar list with both Magnus and a Styrix IK but i run also 6 exalted.

I never tried a Kitan so i dont know if better than a normal Ik, i m playing the Styrix so i have a good mix of firepower and melee

I can't wait until they ERRATA the brimstones. 2 points for a model with a 4+ invul that can cast smite (although the single blue horror will be...)

That being said, switch flamers to exalted and think about the staff on the heralds 24" smite is powerful

Agreed Brims should be more expensive, although Pinks need to be cheaper as well
But a better solution would be to make Brimstones have no points cost and can only be fielded when a Blue dies. (and Blues be bumped to 7ppm to include that)

Second list. As earlier mentioned, you can only cast psycic from hereticus once per turn, Magnus is *likely* to get them off. It looks solid.

i have all the model, i played that list only 2 times and im still unsure about final setup, maybe i should drop couple of exalted for a Dp and put all heralds on disk

The benefit that a kytan has over any of the knight variants is his synergy with Magnus' psychic. So, you can have 15 s10 attacks hitting on 2's on turn one because of warptime. Or 5 s20 attacks with 6 damage each if you really want to crush a model. Plus it gets an invuln in melee, and, it's gatling cannon is beastly too.

I read his statline just dont know if he would be better than a normal Ik, btw yes it's a great combo but with 12"+12"+2d6 charge you cant be sure you will charge 1st turn at least not what you want really charge, his cannon is average, just 8 shots at ap-2 nothing dramatic.

Brimstones can cast smite. They die when they do, so best to keep a blue or pink in the unit.

This is the list I'm taking, this is what I have. Thanks for all the help. Now, any tactics would be appreciated. Now Iunderstand that I have a 9 inch bubble around the changling, and everything but the knight has a 4++, but I will take any tactics or tips you can give thanks

He is probably using battlescribe copy/paste. And battlescribe is wierd in that it separates csm and Daemons. So he doesn't actually have a super heavy detachment for that renegade knight. It's a LoW in the supreme command detachment. It's just the only way to get battlescribe to list it was to add a csm detachment.

So it's 3 detachments
