If i shoot both profiles from a combi plasma, and I supercharge the plasma part. Does it means that I suffer the mortal wound also on a 2?

The rule says on the roll of a one. Does it mean that if I roll a 1 then -1 is a 0. Then it doesn't get hot?

There's a rule somewhere saying a dice cannot be modified below a 1. I think it's in the designer commentary.

From the Designer's Commentary:

Q: Can a dice roll ever be modified to less than 1?

A: No. If, after all modifiers have been applied, a dice roll would be less than 1, count that result as a 1.

Also note, supercharged plasma doesn't deal a mortal wound on a roll of a one for most plasma weapons. The bearer is simply slain on a hit roll of a 1.

Yes I know. but all my plasma guys have 1 wound. So for me its the same.

So supercharging and shooting both profiles is a bad idea.

Nope, not the same especially in this forum where correct terminology matters.

No good deed goes unpunished as they say.

Basically, overcharging plasma with a -1 means it overheats on a 1 or 2.

it's not about you. Your aren't the only person reading this thread. I can't tell you how many times I've seen new players read bad shorthand like yours and think that's how the game works.

Please be accurate as a courtesy to other people on the forum

That's awesome if they all have one wound; however, there are models that use plasma that are not slain AND they suffer mortal wounds when you roll a one, and there are several models that, regardless of their wound pool, are slain.

Also, the “slain” bit bypasses the whole wounding process so guys that have a roll to negate wounds (which would work against mortal wounds) don’t get to roll it to avoid getting cooked.
