Beyond The Ghoul Stars and The Iquathan Deeps, beyond the reach of all but the most foolhardy of rogue trader, where explorator fleets fear to tread exist the worlds of the Forbidden Praxis. Techno-Shamans hated by the adeptus mechanicus, they who gave them their name. They practice AI possession, nano-fusion and machine sacrifice. Their armour adorned with pelts carved from necron, drone and servitor. Necklaces of archeotech, crowns of unknown metals. They claim to protect the imperium from a transgalactic threat they call the Null Hypothesis. They claim to be able to work acts of techno-magic to access the askashic field. Witnesses claims they are somehow wrong in their nature, their marines both larger and smaller, both closer and further away, capable of twisting Euclidean geometry. Survivors claim they are slavers, dragging children off into the night for dark sacrifice. Mysterious and hated the truth is unknown and so far beyond imperial space they have never been bought to heel. Basically their techno-shamans, in the same way the mechanicum are techno-Catholics. Their inspired by Meso-American cultures in the same way space wolves are vikings and ultramarines are romans. Not just the reality of those cultures but what people beloved about them and what they beloved about themselves and their mythology

I dig it. Fun idea and quite striking models.

Cool theme, I think some of the hair is a little lumpy looking, but the theme, story, and colors are all winners. The captain's definitely my fave.

I definitely like what you did with the gravis captain and your desired look/affect works on him. I'm not sure about the others. I'd probably recommend staying away from chaos bits and maybe incorporate more blood angel ones as well as some from the lizardman line in WHFB or whatever they're calling them in AOS.

Is that a regular cloth tabard on the captain or is did you use a fur one? Regardless, nice job on that.

No chaos bitz! Its the hack half of Cawl's axe. the tabbard is a cutdown sigmarine fur cloak.

My mistake. Upon closer inspection, the spiky bits arc on the back of the second marine does have some mechanicum type bits that I didn't see initially. I still think it looks too chaosy though at first glance and that you should instead use other types of bits like you did with the gravis captain.

Love me some Aztec marines - you've done a really great take on them. Someday I might do my own.
