Do I believe the Emperor to be divine?

Yes. Yes, I do. I believed it from the first moment I laid eyes upon Him and I will believe it until the day I die.

You seem shocked. Surprised. You wonder how I could say such a thing. But I tell you no falsehoods. Even after all that has happened, after all the truths we have learned and the things we have seen beyond the veil - I still believe Him to be a god. Would you like to know why?

Do you remember what we were, once? Book-burners. Witch-hunters. Iconoclasts, they called us. We were raised to destroy all mysticisms and beliefs of Man. We were told that we would unite humanity under one banner, one belief - one Emperor. But we knew the Imperial Truth wasn't enough. We knew that the people needed a god to believe in, to rally behind. And we knew that god to be the Emperor.

And so we burned the works of the heretic and the apostate, ground their accursed temples beneath our heels and silenced their blasphemous words forever. And when Terra was cleansed of their taint, we marched on to the rest of the galaxy, bringing His light to the darkest corners of the void. We drowned every false god that lived beneath the stars in the blood of their followers, until only one god remained.

But then we were enlightened. And we saw the Emperor for what he really was. A pretender. He possessed power beyond measure, but in the end, He was no more than a man. No more than another false god, no different than all those others we had murdered in His name.

So yes, I believe him to be a god - but a false one. And that means our appointed task is not yet complete. For He, the self-proclaimed Emperor of Man, is the last idol we must cast down, so that humanity may finally be enlightened. So that the people may see the same truth as we have, and find their true gods.

And if I must become a monster to cast down a false God… so be it.

I'm not a big fan of the new Primaris Marines, but I have to admit that they're nice models, even if they are a bit bland for my taste. Their conversion potential was immediately obvious to me, and it was only a matter of time before I gave in to the whispers telling me to desecrate these new Primaris Marines for the Dark Gods. I decided to turn the three Intercessors from the Easy to Build box into Gal Vorbak stand-ins, because Gal Vorbak are awesome (and also huge)

Here's a few more detail shots of various parts of the model:

These look awesome! Was thinking of doing the same thing to some Primaris. Where did you get that big right hand/talon?

It's a Rat Ogre arm from the old Skaven kit.

spiralingcadaver is correct, that arm came from the old Chaos Mutations sprue, which I can't seem to find on GW's website anymore

Whilst very similar, I'm fairly positive that it isn't from that kit. From what I can see on the store pics, the Rat Ogre arms are a bit hairier, and have some more trinkets attached to them. Still, they look very nice, and have a nice bit of variety - maybe I'll pick up some of those arms for my next Gal Vorbak...
