I usually just drive mine through the car wash for a couple of bucks.
Sorry, but you really set that one up so I just had to go for it.
Serious answer, I just carefully brush it on, and keep an eye on it as it dries to correct any issues with pooling it collecting too much in one spot.

With a bucket and sponge?
In all seriousness I just use a large brush and slather it on there. Why no, I am not the best painter, why do you ask?

Washes really, really don't like large flat surfaces, which most Imperium vehicles have. You basically have a few options.
The first is to try to only apply the wash to panel lines, gaps, and other areas that will naturally shade. This is often a PITA and could still lead to pooling.
The second would be to slather it on, and then go back with an empty wet brush and mop up anything in the middle of panels.
The third way is to resign yourself to overpainting the areas after washing.
I go with the third way, but I'd do whatever approach fits best with your painting style.

Either only apply it to the recesses, or use an oil wash where you can slather it everywhere and then clean up where it's not wanted.

I didn't see that coming
But don't worry, I know how to wash a car
Ok, thanks for the tips.
I had, indeed, troubles with the big flats areas of a razoback recently.
I'll keep you in touch with how it happen.
Should I varnish it before the wash ?

If you're going for a post-wash clean up, whether oil or acrylic, a gloss coat makes it much easier, and allows stronger materials to be used in the case of disaster while protecting the base coat.
Plus gloss will encourage the wash to collect in the recesses and run off the high points.

So, I washed it today.
It isn't perfect, but it is ok.
I had to apply wash into panel lines, etc. after the initial wash, it took some times but it worked.
Tanks !
