I went through the Chaos Index and put all the Chaos and Nurgle units into an excel sheet.

I know the 2nd Daemon Prince (page 105) wounds were changed to 8.

Daemon Prince page 21 has LD 10, page 105 had 9.

Both have Daemonic (inv5+) and Prince of Chaos (page 21 -rerolls hit rolls 1 <legion>, page 105 - rerolls hit rolls 1 <Daemon>

Both have Daemonic Allegiance, but page 21 doesnt list getting the benefits of the keyword as page 105 does. so no Nurgle Disgustingly Resilient.

Daemon Prince page 105 doesnt get Death to False Emperor.? I thought all Chaos got that.

Until I played around with Battle Scribe today, I noticed it wouldnt let me add page 105 Daemon Prince, which to me seems to be the better on since they are both the same price, into detachments for Chaos Space Marines, only detachments for Daemons even though it has the Daemonic Allegiance

Is battle scribe wrong and it should be allowed to mix into the regular Chaos detachments ? as it has the Chaos Keyword ?

You can do it, but battlescribe only recognizes units by their full faction. What you need to do is enter a new detachment and select the existing CSM detachment to be the parent detachment, then select your daemons faction. This will tell the app to consider anything you put in that detachment on the app as part of one detachment with the CSM.

Battlescribe isn't wrong, it's just an app - and the people doing the data are doing it by faction instead of full overarching allegiances like Chaos or Imperium.

It's a PEBKAC error. You haven't added the "Daemon" faction to the roster so you're only getting "Chaos Space Marine" options.

Once you've added your main faction, you need to add a child faction.

Those links I cant view as it keeps popping back to bottomw for ads. even when I hold the sidebar up, it automatically goes back to the ads,

My choices arent the same for selecting.
Game Systems - Warhammer 40k 8th edition v21
Add Force
Chaos - Chaos Space Marines v24
Chaos - Daemons v14
And I must choose a detachment.

I kept getting errors saying not enough in the detachment, I guess I will have errors left.

I was doing a Vanguard & Spearhead Detachment.

Hopefully Daemon Prince is only 1 in the new Codex and not 2 different ones.

Because you're not doing what I said to do. You add the Chaos Space Marines detachment, then ADD the chaos daemons one underneath it by adding it as a child. You need to literally click to select the CSM parent before adding the child. Or, if you want to include a CSM Vanguard and Daemons Spearhead, then you pick them as separate parent ones.

Here is an empty roster with the two detachments, allowing you to select both CSM and Daemon units.
