Subject: Poxwalkers - how to make them work?

Id like to run a poxwalker themed force and was wondering if any of you had some strategies evolved yet?
They seem pretty lack luster and the entire army seems slow overall.
Any suggestions?

A successful poxwalker force is going to literally drown the table in units. You don't take morale tests and they're super cheap, scoring units with a superior 5++, so max out squads and just capture objectives with impunity. Killpoint games will rely on characters buried in squads to do any damage though. You'll want Typhus and Necrosius for their pox buffs, a Blightbringer for the faster advances, and assorted Lords or Princes with wings and jump packs to hit enemies where they threaten your horses quickly.

I've heard some people using them to screen a shooting contingent of three preds or two preds and a defiler. Seems like it could be decent.

What does Necrosius do for poxwalkers?

Currently they are an expensive screening unit that honestly performs worse than cultists, and offer nothing of value because DG as a whole are generally overpriced.
Assuming they drop to 5, they are still a fairly expensive screening unit who at least gets DR instead of an armor save which can be ignored and don't need anyone granting them fearless, making them generally superior to cultists in this role and close to normal guard infantry.
