This is not awful but it's worth noting that Mars with Cawl will get almost as many Overwatch hits.

The Kataphron stratagem is interesting. It's very hard to imagine that this justifies taking Agripinaa, but you're potentially recovering a ton of points.

Cawl does not grant re-rolls to Overwatch.

And this is a bit of a gimmicky Strategem. I would build a single detachment around it if I felt it worthwhile. But not sure it ever will be unless Destroyers drop in points. 2CP to revive a unit of up to 6 isn't bad though in theory.

So Agripinaa gets respawning Kataphrons. They make a decent firebase and having to choose between tough as nails robots or servitors that will just com back doesn't sound too bad. I'm starting to think Admech will be fore about strategems than the forgeworld traits.

It sounds cool, if your unit is down to one model left you get to redeploy it back an whatever number of models it started on any board edge, it seems handy to move the around too even if the don't need healed to get to objectives etc or at least thats how I read it. If they drop in points a bit or become a bit better you could build around ut.

Guys, remember that you have to have models in the unit for it to be used. All the enemy has to do is wipe out a handful of T5 3W 4+ models. It is doable and they are expensive. Unless they drop in points (which they won't, allegedly), this is probably just a pricey gimmick that won't be nearly as strong as Wrathbots.

If the -1 to hit at 12'' is true for Stygies I think we could see a lot of that going around

word I went stygies simply because the fw stygies vanq is gorgeous and I used to run one. BAck when you could use it as an vanq or battle cannon

I hope it is, I picked them for thier fluff when I started AdMech so I would have probably run the fogre world regardless but I'll take that for my force, I hope they have a nice Strategem too but a -1 to hit stacking with Insense cloud on my dragoons will do very nicely.

Not anywhere. Within your own deployment zone AND 6" from an edge. The article text is a bit misleading about this.

well that's basically useless the opponents just going to wipe them out. If you can use it to snag an objective it's sooooo situational it might as well not exist

Ryza will be something about Plasma. I would guess they get a strategem that lets them shoot without overheating or something. No idea on trait or anything.

Stygies will be the -1 to-hit trait. Not sure what strategems they will get.

Oh wow that does change things a lot. That might actually be why some of our tactics aren't very good. Though idk why people were down on graia now.

If we actually get the -1 to shooting outside 12" on every unit, that's going to be absurdly good. The main thing holding it back in other armies is it does benefit tanks and other heavy weapon platforms, but on onagers or kastellans? Good lord.

Even today's dogma does a lot to mitigate at least one of the kastellan's weaknesses.

IDK seemed better until it was played. Generally it isn't that hard to get within 12" this edition. I dislike it as well but mainly because it will now have been used in 3 of the 6 books thus far which is crazy. That said, I had a feeling they would start to run out of traits, I mean, is anyone going to be that surprised when Alaitoc, Catachans and Blood axes all get this trait as well? Probably alongside the ambush stratagem as well. Only so many things you can come up with but it seems kind of early for so many repeats lol.

It isn't likely about "running out" so much as finding a balanced trait that reflects the fluff. So instead of a hundred rules, we get less and also less chances for them to be as broken as they seek ways to make more rules (just look at what Formations did as an example).
