I was reading my 3rd edition wait... WAAAAAAAAAGHHHH!!!!! *clears throat* Where was I? Thats right I was reading my 3rd edition codex which inspired me to start making kustom ork units and since I don't see the ork codex coming out any time soon (I swear if it comes out within a week of posting this dakka gonna be going everywhere) Its time to make a "Kustom Ork Kodex" with lots of fluff and fun random (but balanced) ork things. If you have any ideas for a Kustom Ork Kodex just post below (criticism and new ideas are welcome!)

Things to do:

-read lots and lots of lore to find the crazy random vehicals/weapons orks have used
-work on rules for custom klans/vehicles/units
-rework stompa (its awesome but not 965 points awesome)
-add bonuses for the six main klans
-add at least one unique character for the klans that don't have any (Snakebitez, Badmoonz, Evil Sunz)
-looted wagons
-Gargants
-add ork belief/abilities rules (ex. red goes faster)
-Mad Boyz
-Mega Armour
-more psyker powers

Eavy Armour: For an extra 4 points you may upgrade a boy to an Ard Boy this gives the boy a 4+ save and increases their toughness by 1.


Vehicle's Gear

Kustom Force Field: (any unit with the key word vehicle excluding units with the key word titanic) For 20 points a unit with this ability gives models entirely within 9" a +5 invulnerable save against ranged weapons.

The Red Ones Go Fasta: (any unit with the key word vehicle) For 5 points a model with this ability adds an inch to its movement characteristic and add two inches too its advances.

Ork Belief
Yellow makes Blasts bigger/stronger/better...(extra point of AP for missels and bombs painted yellow +2 points per model)

Infantry Gear ..Skip the additional toughness and make Ard Boy +3 points instead..allow Ard boy to be taken as a codex wide upgrade for Orks ..ie not grots..

Special Character for Snakebite is in the older codexes..hes a weird boy by the name of OLD ZogWart (4th edition ork codex)
Bad Moons = Grukk (see red waagh seventh edition)
Evil Sunz = Wazdakka Gutzmek )4th edition ork codex)and Zardsnark the Ripper(FW current)

I would not pay 3pts for 4+ armor. What you have effectively done by adding 3pts is cut down your mob size by 50% and only increased durability by a little bit. The majority of my opponents use asscans and heavy bolters/flamers to destroy my hordes. So that 4+ is really a 5+, the only benefit to that armor is if they camp in cover they have 3+ armor, but good luck getting a mob of 30 in cover.
