Actually all of their sprays say the same: Can be used to basecoat your miniatures.
I've been using The Fang straight on my models without a separate "primer". Only issue I've had is you can get too smooth a coat if you spray from too close or apply even a bit too much, so keep your distance and use short controlled bursts.

I basecoat/prime all of my minis in the predominate color the mini will be when it is done. It saves a ton of time. I use Testors flat enamels shot through my airbrush, so the color options are nearly unlimited. Also, an enamel basecoat is much sturdier than acrylic, but any spray you use should be fine - just keep the coat as thin as you can.
When sprayed over an undercoat, it's a fast way to get a uniform base of colour onto your models.
Mind you, not all the spray descriptions say this. I have gotten away with using just Leadbelcher spray to prime some models, but for the sake of being safe rather than sorry, I would just apply them over a primer.

Duncan has noted time and again on Facebook that they don't need an undercoat, and several of his tutorials have him using a model with just the colored spray and no white or black undercoat.

As far as I've seen, it's always been recommended to apply a base primer first; I don't follow Duncan on Facebook, but I have seen a few tutorials where he's used a spray instead of Corax White/Chaos Black, and said it explicitly.
Like I said, probably fine to use on its own as I have used before. Probably wouldn't hurt to use a black/white undercoat either.
