Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

I've just got some Forgeworld Renegade Enforcers to use as Night Lord cultists (because I hate the cultist model) and I'd like to get some opinions before I paint up all 60 of them (got to fill those detachments somehow).

So, as title says, will these pass as cultists and any suggestions on the paint scheme or is it fine as is?

Sure, though they appear better armored than most. Colour scheme is a bit on the boring side (all black/red schemes are pretty beaten to death) but it's not unattractive.

It's Dark Blue and Red, they are meant to be Night Lord cultists (should have put that in the OP...).

I would make the pants blue.

When I think Night lords I think more blue then red. Blue with red accents.

Granted thats only 1 or what is sure to be many cultists. So having 1 in 5 or 3 in 10 have more red than blue is going to be fine and add some nice mix to the lot.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Nice idea on the mixing uniform colours, might make them look a little more 'rag tag' as well.

They would totally be acceptable as cultists. Although you might get people questioning your money sense for using those WONDERFUL Renegades as *mere* cultists lol.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Well if I ever need 30 Enforcers for whatever reason, I'm covered.

Don't forget to fully Skull out the helmet to add to the terrifying aspect of them.

They're a bit more than normal Cultists, but if you put them in enough numbers, they'll blend smoothly. They'll also work nicely with Anvil's arms and weapons, I can take shots of mine that are if you want.

Not sure what you mean by anvil arms and weapons so some pictures might help, thanks.

Surprisingly enough these aren't recasts, though I did buy some recasts after starting that thread: FW Khorne Terminator conversion kit that FW no longer carry, quite a good cast actually and only some minor casting problems with a skull and a bunny ear. Not the horror show that some people in that thread would lead you to believe.

Think a mix of the two might be nice, thanks for the suggestion!

Yes, the link provided - www.anvilindustry.co.uk - is the home of Anvil Industries, who are producing a massive line of Guard-Scaled arms and weapons, including a massive wave coming up of modern rifles, carbines, SMGs and the like. Here's two of my Enforcers done up with some Anvil arms, one of their pistol options, and their Crisis SMG.
