Don't worry everyone gets at least 1% for the league table

Which does mean if you turn up every month you'll be ranked higher at the end than some then just turns up once and wins

Of course its all really just an excuse to have some fun with the nice people here and get some miniatures painted.

Like so many things you can just turn it on its head. 2 people thought that your models were in their top 5 entries. That's pretty cool to be honest. I loved your bases and the palette you chose seems right for the theme of the game, its just its not showing off your ability.

Also remember too that effort put in doesn't correlate to your votes. Votes are just a proxy for how much your choice of techniques, skill at applying them, model choice, photography skills and likely a bunch of others things appeals to individuals. For example, my entry this month has received a smaller proportion of the vote than my entry last month. At most I spent at most 2 hours on that treant as I was in a rush and I'm a slow painter, this month I put a lot more thought into it and well over 30 hrs. That may seem strange but as I say, its just personal tastes.

Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

UK

Yep, as Midget points out everyone gets at least one point for a completed entry regardless of the percentage.

On to the winners:

In 3rd,
feltmonkey's Dark Eldar Archon

In second, merely a point ahead Bottle's Khorne Bloodreavers

And BRUTALising the competition with a whopping 56 vote. Modock's Khorne Slaughterpriest

Yay Modock won..... Finally, I've been wanting you to win a challenge for several of the last few months. Congrats very well deserved.

Great work to Bottle and Felt as well, a very close battle for 2nd/3rd, thought it would be a tie until right at the very end.

Great job to everyone that entered was a very good challenge this month. I'll update the league table over the weekend.

Thanks for everyone who voted! Congrats to Modock and Feltmonkey too.

My bloodbound went on to win 'Best Painted' in the Skirmish event at Blackout this past weekend (a big Age of Sigmar tournament in Cardiff). A lot of the warband has come from these painting contests (my Blood Reavers, Aspiring Deathbringer, Slaughterpriest) etc etc so it is testament to how awesome these monthly contests are at helping us all push our ability.

If you're able to give a quick vote in the gallery it is much appreciated too!

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Thanks a lot MGems. Yea, I think I smelled the odour of victory but from far away.

I'm extremely happy for taking the first place. Thanks everybody for voting and especially grateful for people giving feedback on my Slaughterpriest.
Cogratulation to Felt and Bottle aswell the other entrants. Some amazing pieces were done this month.

Congratz Bottle for winning that competition in Cardiff. I toured your gallery and left quite a few votes.

Thanks again to all and see ya in armor up!

Congrats to everyone who entered, I said this in my voting post, but I think we can all be very proud of this month's gallery. Congrats particularly to Modock for a hugely well-deserved (and overdue) first place, and to Bottle for tipping me to second place.

Talking of Bottle, I can't believe you were in Cardiff last weekend! Were you at Firestorm Games? I live in Cardiff, and if I'd known you were playing AOS I'd have popped down to say hi.

Congratulations to all entrants, winners and all!

I'm deep in the middle of my September entry already so the show must go on!

Oh man, we should meet up for a game or something soon then. I only live in Newport :-) so it was a local tournament for me! Let's try and get a game in sometime in the future (maybe when I have my 40k army up to 100 power/2000 points).

If you two get a game going, I demand pictures!

You love the T-Rex. Its both a hero and a Villain in the first two movies. It is the "king" of dinosaurs. Its the best. You love your T-rex.
Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.
