So here's a question: How do you/Do you have to convert a model that is already incredibly similar into another model in a different game system? Primarily concerned with tournament legality, but it is a question to pose for other counts as type situations.
Example, I want to run deathcult assassins. I have AoS Witch Elves. I want to continue running the Witch Elves in AoS and use them as assassins. I can't really think of anything I would do to change the models. They both are somewhat scantly clad, both use double bladed weapons (the witch elves blades are a bit shorter than the deathcults but that's not hugely relevant for WYSIWYG), neither has any kind of shooting apparatus or other special thing associated with them, they're both 25mm bases and they're similar in silhouette. The witch elves have their huge hair but I really like that about the model and they don't have the 'gimp suit made out of belts' look the deathcults go for but part of why I want to use other models is to avoid that. So, what do you all think?

Tournaments mostly care about WYSIWYG, base sizes and silhouettes. So you should be fine. GW tournaments also require something like 2/3 of the model be GW pieces, but you're using AoS so should be fine there too.
I used Stormcast Eternals I mixed with Grey Knight bits at NOVA and it was fine. I'd say you're cool. If you still doubt though, snap a picture and e-mail the TO

Most people won't have much of a problem. That said, most people would also expect at least some changes to it (like, say, use the screaming skull helms with the witchelf weapon loadout) rather than just the stock kit with nothing changed. However this is more of a gentlemanly agreement for the sake of hobby rather than any legalities and most people will still play you even if they might grumble about it.
For tournaments, they might have their own specifics, but from what I've heard as long as the weapons are correct no one would (or should) care. That and as long as you're consistent; no running two squads of the same model but one uses the Death Cult rules and the other uses the arco-flagalent rules.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |

I've been using Necromunda Spyer Ganger models for 40k Assassins and Inquisitors for literally over a decade. It's fine, people are more happy to see and experience what you do in your hobby than criticize.

Yeah, I'd use moderately converted sisters of slaughter for arcos
