If a single attack gets 3 rolls to hit, examples being mortarion a scythe or titanic feet, do they give that attack 3 chances to hit, or does it multiply the attack to 3 attacks?

Essentially its multiplying the attacks

*just starts laughing*
If not, the attack fails and the attack sequence ends.
- 4. Resolve Attacks - 1. Hit Roll

While I do like instructions telling us to end the entire resolve sequence if the roll fails, it really is just underlining the problem more then anything else. The entire sequence is written to only ever deal with one attack consisting of one die at a time, making it difficult to determine the answer. There has been back and forth previously over just what they mean when they tell us to make three rolls for a single attack, so you will need to determine it with your particular group while we wait for the Authors to clarify. Personally: I believe it is intended to be a form of 'Melee 3,' with each success able to generate it's own Wounds, instead of some sort of super re-roll.

Why do people actively try to complicate simple stuff?

Due to the fact the Authors did not, as they write Rules with only the most simplistic of situations in mind....
Even something basic as 'roll three dice instead of one' is too complex for the Rules the Authors created.

For one, it has us triggering both Failed and Success states within a single attack... so we must both resolve and end the entire Sequence!
