So i dont know if this has been discussed before (could not find any such threads), but recently i had a chance to look at the collectors edition GK codex (english) they had for display in our local GW and i spotted something odd

GM in NDK is able to attempt 2 psychic powers

If i look into my regular Codex it tells me to use only 1 psychic power per turn.
Now since i have the german version of the Codex I was hoping for a mispringt/translation mishap (My codex also tells me to only use 1 heavy weapon per 5 paladins >.<. But i noticed that in my Battlescribe rosters im also only able to pick 1 power for a Grand Master in NDK
So is 1 power really the "official" version

I find this a bit wierd since version in the collectors edition actually make more sense than what ive got in my codex >.<
I mean hes a damn Grandmaster for crying out loud.
Why should he only cast 1 power a turn

Thoughts ?

According to my (english) codex he can attempt to cast 2 but can only deny once. He knows smite + 1 other power.

Hmm ok so that means 2 powers with 1 of those always beeing smite.

I guess thats what threw me off with the Battlescribe entry since i didnt really count that POS version of Smite when i saw "2 powers" but i see now that this also holds true for the regular GM.

At least that clears up my initial assumption about the german misprint.

Still sucks to only have one "proper power" like all the other schmucks.... *grumble*

In exchange, you get more fire power per point than basically everything else in the game.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Not even close to true.

And call me when strength 4 shooting on storm bolters dominates anything anywhere. Thanks

If only there was some way GKs could get access to more psykers.

I wouldn't say that's close to true, remotely. GK's first unit is appropriately costed. Everything after that is hideously overcosted. I'd make a guess that they're most efficient as a small task-specific attachment to a larger primary force, since they run afoul heavily of the 1-instance-per-army terrible scaling that seems to be a thing.

Storm Bolters are pretty good. GK just pay through the nose for abilities they can't use.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!
