Subject: What are the best warlord/trait/heirloom for a Cadian army?

I've generally used Pask or Yarrick as a warlord, although in smaller games I'll use a company commander. I was curious with the new codex and FAQ what you guys are taking.
Pask and Yarrick are still pretty appealing, although Pask having to take a pretty useless warlord trait since I generally only run 1 other russ makes him less appealing. Tempted to run a standard tank commander with laurels of command (so I can reroll 1's to hit and number of shots) with old grudges.
I've started to look at Creed, as with the new strategems an extra 2 command points is nice, plus the extra orders/range are always a plus. Although a standard commander with laurels and master of command will let me really spam orders, let all my infantry squads have rerollable FRFSRF.
Lord Commissar seems a poor choice, what with the nerfs to conscripts, and none of the heirlooms or traits really buff him up too much.
And is there any reason whatsoever to take a primaris as your warlord, outside of maybe cheesing it with dagger, barrier, and a flanking superheavy?

Grand Strategist Company Commander with Kurov's Aquila. I deploy him to the safest spot on the DZ, preferably behind LoS-blocking terrain. I don't care if he can use Voice of Command or not. What matters is that he's alive to: 1) Give me Command Points (on 5+) whenever someone uses a Stratagem and 2) 100% deny Slay the Warlord. He's also managed to bubble wrap quite large areas all by himself. Being able to use Commands with him is tertiary and just a bonus.
Totally worth it. Meanwhile, I can take more risks with the rest of my characters.

STT, Laurels of Command + Creed/Kell gives you copious amounts of rerolls to hit and rerolls of 1 to wound on a back line

The Relic of Lost Cadia is insanely broken. Re-roll 1s to hit and wound for everyone within 12" all the time beats Laurels every time. Spend a Command Point to get the Aquila too, as it will net you more command points than 1 in the end.

Yeah that's true I wouldn't use it as it's my belief that RAI are that it's one turn only but it doesn't say once per battle.

In my casual list I run a company commander with Grand Strategist. His job is to stand between a few heavy weapons teams and pass out orders 1st and not die 2nd. I run a Lord Commissar with the Blade of Conquest to lead the charge. I certainly wouldn't call him the best option, but I love the model and it's fun having him charge out of a Chimera into depleted squads of enemy whatever and stab some dudes to death. It just feels right that the real leader is in the back coordinating the Battle while the Commissar makes daring displays of bravery to inspire the men to greater acts of valor.

Yeah, most of the stuff that would benefit him is Regiment-specific.
Also, if you plan to use him for combat at all, then it's probably best not to make him your warlord (since he'll be more at risk).

Sadly, only Officers can take the dagger now.
Honestly though, whilst there isn't much reason to use a Primaris Psyker as your warlord, I'd say that there also isn't much reason not to.

This. It can be very handy having all those extra points for smaller orders like Take Cover!

I will not rest until the Tabletop Imperial Guard has been reduced to complete mediocrity. This is completely reflected in the lore. |

‘Laurels of Command’ combined with ‘Superior Tactical Training’ is “Bonkers” good. 75% chance per order to generate 2 additional orders that in turn can generate their own orders…
Add Kell in a parking lot of Heavy Weapon Teams (BS 2.5 (not moving) reroll 1's) = Magic fairy sprinkles
