Hi all, for a while I’ve been thinking of converting some eldar shining spears out of wind rider jetbikes and high elf dragon princes, obviously using the lance cut at the wrist and either the jetbikes arm repositioned or guardian arms to put it in to a decent position and either just swapping the head with the dragon prince head but paint the face as if it’s an ornamental helmet or possibly replace the body as well with the dragon prince body depending on scale and how it will fit. Only problem I’m having at the minute is getting hold of dragon prince kits. Has anyone else converted their own shining spears? Any pictures you’d be willing to share? Thanks!

You could probably get elven spears/lances from eBay if you do a generic search. Try "warhammer elf spear" or some variant of that.
It should produce options from all Elves, not just the High Elves. It might help you find more.

Would love to see this, seem to have a ton of bikes from 7th lol... tourney list had 21 bikes!

I'm going to use Drakespawn Knights as the base of my Exodite Spears. Was going to use the Seraphon because they come with more Cold Ones in a box but it's not value for money if I can't get over the other models looking much nicer. The Elves ride some nice beasts and the box has 5 guys in it so I can steal a couple for characters on "jetbikes" too.

The Dragon Princes do look darn fancy too though, and would be ideal models to scavenge for bits on more traditional jetbikes. You could probably mod the armour on the horses head to sit on the front of the bikes, or over the control panel bit. If you're using the Guardian riders then a mix of more of the Dragon dudes parts on the bikes and weapons will go a long way to making your models nice and unique. I'd definitely want to try and stick that banner on the back of the Exarch's bike!

I’m just waiting for parts to arrive but my plan at the minute is to use the guardian legs, stick the body on but then cut it off at the hips as if I remember correctly the crotch area is connected to the torso and then use the torso of the dragon princes and the heads, I need to see how things fit for the arms, I may keep the dragon prince arms or stick the lance and hand in place of guardian arms. I think I have an old plastic high elf characters lance somewhere so that’ll be the star lance for the exarch. The shields I may use to go where the control panel usually is either in all of them or just the exarch, I’m also planning on making an autarch and give him a cloak from the lord on dragon that I managed to get from eBay for nice and cheap, the lance tassel parts might get used but as a small decoration fluttering from the shoulders of the shining spears. It’s half planned I just need to see if I can make it all work how I hope

For my Eldar Exodite army I did this. I cut the bottom off the bike and shaved the top off the cold one and put them together, I just used the whole lance arm from the knight. I'll post some pictures of those soon, but here is the Reaver one I did:

I think I saw your thread on these, they look really cool I like how you’ve fused the jetbike and cold one together, I’ve made a start on my idea and converted one shining spear so far, the rest will get done when I have a bit more time and the autarch will be done when a couple of bits have arrived but here’s what I’ve done so far...
