Might want to double check your fluff, Valhallans may have a scandanavian name, but they are 100% Russian red army circa WW2, they didnt even bother to change the uniforms, outside of lasguns its almost historically accurate. Plus their named Character is named Chenkov, who specializes in sending waves of men into combat. Even if you are looking for cold war era the Soviet battle plan was still built around conscripts being sent in large waves. they were even issued leather rifle holsters for their belts that would allow them to hip fire AK47s more effectively.

If you like AKs anvil industries, mad robot, and Victoria minis both have very nice bits for that as well.

I'd go with a company commander for those veterans. Rapid fire 2 makes them NASTY.
What warlord trait are you taking?

Does your meta support so many flamers? Mine would end terribly. With so many, you probably want to take catachans so you can reroll those D6s. You also get the ability to deny cover with the stratagem / order burn them out.

i support the flamers on guard.. it takes away from their crappy BS...
