Do Deathshroud Terminators make better looking Typhus models than the Typhus model?

Aside from now being outscaled I actually prefer the original

I've been playing a while, my first model was a lead marine and my first White Dwarf was bound with staples

Oh come on, disco typhus doesn't do it for you? It is the new more kiddy friendly nurgle, because GW.

No, it is not just you. The new typhus sculpts pose is bad, i have seen a few modified models that came out good. But any of the deathshroud terminators are more typhus, than typhus.

In war there is poetry; in death, release.

One of the Deathshroud models is a near copy of the original Typhus. It has the same exact pose and many of the same details, but the head is a bit different. So it's not strange at all to draw the connection.

Did a conversion of Heresy miniatures fallen Boris to make my Typhus. He's in relatively the same pose as the original and is huge.

Yeah, his new pose is awful. Needs some conversion work to not look silly.

Not a bad conversion, I like it.

The new typhus model is obviously going to be more down to personal taste. I actually like it, I converted mine with a slight repose of both arms and he looks really great IMO

"Courage and Honour. I hear you murmur these words in the mist, in their wake I hear your hearts beat harder with false conviction seeking to convince yourselves that a brave death has meaning.
There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.

To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."

I have several friends who play Death Guard...not a single one has purchased the new Typhus model - they all think it's fething hideous.

Most are using either the converted starter box dude or one of the new Terminators as mentioned.

Pretty sure I'm the only one in the world who likes the new typhus model.

The model design is all right, I think. What really breaks it is the posing, IMO.

Honestly it’s a poor business decision to release multiple clam packs of expensive hero character, and also large box kits of customizable guys that will look equally as gribbly and impressive with some minor conversions. Typhus from deathshroud, Foulblight from the Nurgle box or starter heroes, same with all the others. There’s nothing really more impressive about Typhus’s boils and lesions than any of the other new sculpts.
