Honestly it looks nothing like an Inquisition army. To me it looks like an open play game where you took your favorite models and just assigned them points. I see no synergy or anything that works well together. To each their own but this list or the idea does absolutely nothing for me.

A lot of red on the field!

Scions without special weapons misses the point. When they show up, they are barely out of double-tap range.

I'm not a believer in flamers for the most part. Consider: A flamer gets an average of 3.5 hits. So do 7 guardsmen boltguns, and at a much longer range, which means easier delivery and more survivability, so you don't need an expensive delivery mechanism. Flamers are for when it's hard to hit your opponent and they're coming towards you. Your list doesn't have enough long range firepower to bring the enemy to you. Add a third castellan robot. It'll make those flamers more effective.

Bound2Earth86 - Could you be more constructive? just a general complaint isnt very helpful. If this doesnt look like an inquisition list perhaps read Eisenhorn and get back to me? Flagellants, crusaders, scions,acolyte, jakero, astropath, gunships... all VERY Inquisitorial (my crusaders are even modeled like Arbites). I could see not liking the mechanicus aspect but, I've been converting the minis for a while and wanted to throw them in the list so, they may be dropped eventually

Celerior - So take the flamers off the acolytes? what would you replace them with? Would you just have the castellans walking up the field?I'll probably equip plasma on the scions, is that what you'd suggest?

Just so you know what I was going for: the infiltrators and Eversor play distraction by getting right in the enemies face. allowing me time to get my flagellants and crusaders up the feild. the scions can deepstrike in the enemy backfeild to supply harassment. the destroyers hang in the backfield giving me anti elite firepower. The tarantulas can either be set up on field or deep struck in for my anti tank. the vultures provide me with a TON of anti infantry, and the acolytes should be hitting and wounding most things they touch thanks to the jakero. Immolators will provide protection for them and the flagellant/crusader unit. the Kastelans are just a fun walk up the field killy unit.

Also open to suggestions on what to add in place of the mechanicum.

I like the variety. It looks like a lot of fun to play, both sides of the table.
I think you have quite a few lascannons, that seems good.
I agree though with the combi-flamer thing on the acolytes.
I would consider running them cheaper, add two more instead.
And force staff... I like the null rod, else you might get eaten alive by psyker heavy armies.
Anyways, I have a twin set of xenos inquisitors, one with a null rod, so maybe I am biased.

I dunno. Maybe I would like to see a couple more inquisitors in there, maybe or the inquisitor you have be beefier, better protected, seeming more important, more survivable.

Else, he seems like just another soon to be casualty.

only problem with adding more acolytes is I can only fit 6 in an immolator which means dropping the Jakero and making the Inquisitor run around by himself. he's armed with a cane so either make sense. I'll add the Null rod for fun

What would you arm them with instead of combi-flamers?

Edit: I like the idea of an Inquisitor commanding his own force but wouldnt mind adding in a Lord Inquisitor in Termy armor to bring the pain

OK, so I have been rethinking my 500point list,
and have been studying your list,.
and I am starting to see the benefit of the force staff,
so am thinking of running two with two of those together.
No null rods, maybe...
Cost is higher, but the chance to use psychic powers seems useful.
Also, I am thinking of adding an officer of the fleet.
25 points, basically a bs4 mortal wound monster with line of sight to anywhere on the table.

With your combi-weapon acolytes, I think that you won't be getting into combat on purpose anyways, so a force staff seems useless.
The Null rod is more defensive, and not a bad cc weapon but strength 3 sux.


Anyways, thanks for putting this list up, as it gives me a lot to think about.

I would drop a Flaggelant for a priest. He will buff your attacks on both them and the Crusaders. And the combiflamers are a waste of points on the acolytes imo. Give them all storm bolters.

so combi-flamers on the acolytes average them 20 hits in double tap range, the Jakero is there to give them re-rolling misses on wounds 2/3rds of the time (and re-rolling hits on the bolter portion of their combi weapon the other 1/3rd), not to mention he also packs a pretty decent punch,

Personally don’t like the minister I’m elements. Fell like you loading the non deep striking characters in the Valkyrie and then gravchuting them close to the enemy along with all the scions is a better idea

Authority of the Inquisition is the rule that lets them get in any transport. Only acolytes and Inquisitors had it in the Index. Faq gave it to the monkeys too.
