I can't find it where it says I can't put lets say tallarn into a catachan transport or vice versa.

In space marines it says chapter marines. So i could not put blood angels in a dark angels rhino.

Ig transports just say ig infantry. Nothing about regiments.

Am I correct in this?

on the other hand Nobz they decided it was in the best interest of ork society that they "Go Green" as such they specifically modified their warbikes to not make giant smoke, dust, grit, clouds. Instead they are all about driving with clean air, one might say their bikes Gak out rainbows.

Since it says "ASTRA MILITARUM INFANTRY", you're fine. I don't know for sure if there's a FAQ / Designers Commentary that overrules that, but based on the Chimera datasheet you could even load up Militarum Tempestus in it. That it explicitly tells us how Ogryn are to be treated in terms of transport capacity also indicates that they don't care about the whole <REGIMENT> thing.

I think it's deliberate since if it *was* <regiment> only, then there's no way that regimental advisors or ogryns could board a transport at all.

Some people find the idea that other people can be happy offensive, and will prefer causing harm to self improvement.

Why would you run it as Catachan instead of Cadian though?

Yeah, which is why I was asking about that Stormlord, because it doesn't have a variable cadence main gun - and you get the rerollable 1s from sitting still as Cadian anyway

Since it has to go into it's own detachment anyway I don't see why you wouldn't change the regiment

Because a Stormlord literally gains nothing from being Catachan unless you equip it with Flamer sponsons.

Well I had an idea of running a banehammer a doomhammer and a stormlord.

And catachan seems like a good regiment.
Was also thinking Val because at 7+ wounds always shooting full bs.
Just trying to theorycraft a list and if re rolling 1s is good sit still knowing i am going to get lit up. Of Val so i don't care if i am lit up catachan to re roll 1s And weapons for 2 of the tanks.

See my dilemma. I wonder if my play group would mind if i put 20 rats in stormlord

And the best way to run it is 8x heavy flamer.
