The current version of Steel Behemoth for Guard vehicles was updated to state that the unit doesn't suffer penalties for moving and firing Heavy weapons.
Renegade Baneblades have the same rule, Steel Behemoth, but it doesn't include the statement on heavy weapons.

Was the update to Steel Behemoth universal, or are Renegades stuck with a worse version of the rule?

since renegade baneblades are a FW model you have to wait for an update to the FW rules.

No such thing as USR anymore. The rules are bespoke and unique to the datasheet. You have to wait for FW to issue errata.

Here's the problem:

R&H actually use Imperial Guard baneblades, including having instructions for replacing the Astra Militarum Keyword, etc.

Games Workshop says to use the latest datasheet for all your models (this would be Codex: AM datasheet for the Baneblade).

BUT

The R&H army list specifically calls out Index: Imperium 2 as the source for the Baneblade's rules.

So HIWPI and RAI, I think you use the Codex: AM Baneblade with the updated rules.

RAW, I'm not sure, but I think the specific instructions for where to draw the datasheet from overrides the instructions to use the latest datasheet, so RAW you use the older datasheet and points costs, that means +40 points, 1 fewer d6 shots on the main armament, and the gakky version of Steel Behemoth.

Thanks for the responses everyone. It seems like Chapter Approved would have been a great place to fix this inconsistency, but oh well!

Does anyone have any idea when we might get an updated FAQ for Renegades?

No idea.

Like I said, HIWPI, I'd let you use the updated datasheet rules; it's only fair, and I think a cool scenario game that's a clash of AM baneblades versus R&H baneblades would be awesome (and I wouldn't bring any shadowswords because that's just mean, and my regiment uses Valdors anyways for now, though I'm changing that soon).

You use the latest datasheet, which is in the AM codex.
You replace Astra Militarum with Renegades and heretics in all instances.
You should be fine

No, that tells your where the Datasheet was at time of printing. As R&H use Astra Militarum Datasheets, the latest are in the Codex. You use Codex versions now they have been published.
