Death Guard and Thousand Sons are unique in that neither legion uses any chaos space marines; all CSM in the former are Plague Marines and all CSM in the latter are Rubrics. EC and WE don't have any reason to have their army lists limited in the same way since they can potentially use everything in the codex without problems.
Not all Berzerkers are World Eaters, but all World Eaters are Berzerkers. Be it Zerkers in Terminator armor, on a bike, attached to a jump pack, or being possessed by a deamon, if it's a World Eater than it is a Berzerker. World Eaters can easily get the Death Guard and Thousand Sons treatment.
All of the above also goes for Emps Children, who will most likely be coming next since...they're next.

We know primaris chaos marines are coming, we know fulgrim is coming, and we know Fabulous Bill is working on primaris marines. Combine all of those with their popularity in 30k, and it looks like a big release for EC.

I feel like between codex releases, necromunda releases, and space marine kits, there just isnt enough room for much else. They also probably want to release some age of sigmar stuff at some point as well. I would expect a round of primaris clampacks for every major chapter. I do believe that everyone will get their turn, just that if you arent space marines you are going to have to wait for it.

They actually seem to be holding off on Space Wolves. Given their popularity, I suspect that's intentional, so they have more time to actually produce kits, not just stuff a couple sprues in three repacked boxes.
As far as 'every major chapter' goes, that'll be done with SW.
Though daemons seem to be getting some more Nurgle loving in January. They really ought to do flesh hounds and fiends as well, but we will see.

Uh, no. Codex Daemons is next (after angels 1 and angels 2, obviously). Officially announced and everything.

We don't know any of those things. Complete conjecture.

"Courage and Honour. I hear you murmur these words in the mist, in their wake I hear your hearts beat harder with false conviction seeking to convince yourselves that a brave death has meaning.
There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.
To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."

Fabius Bile and primaris marines:
They have been dropping hints about Fulgrim since the fracturing of biel-tan, quote below:
“The alleged sighting of a gigantic, serpent bodied +++REDACTED+++ slaughtering everything the Astra Militarum could send against it…”
He also shows up to taunt Guilliman while trying to taint him with chaos, and he is the person who sent Guilliman to his last dirtnap. They are absolutely setting up another confrontation between the two of them.
As for how you will get traitor legion specific Primaris marines, Dark Imperium (the novel) states Cawl has the geneseed for all twenty legions (including the ones we know nothing about) and wants to make them all primaris marines, Rowboat thinks that's a bad idea and tells him to knock that off. It's not a stretch to imagine Cawl has already done the deed (probably a long time ago), and is keeping the results on ice, to be stolen by/given to the traitor legions. Besides the the not subtle enough to be hints they have been dropping, there are practical concerns, GW won't just refresh the Space marine models and leave the CSM models dumpy and disproportionate.

But they've already done CSM.
Do you think they're going to do Codex : Chaos Primaris? Or that they're going to release a bunch of models with their own datasheets they expect us to glue into our Codexs? Release it as a suppliment?
I agree it seems totally likely, but it would have made way more sense to hold off on Codex CM, release Codex Deamons instead, and release CSM next year at the same time as a Chaos Primaris range if this is their plan.

We also have Hastings saying first 5 primarch would be Guill, Mortarion, Magnus, Russ & Angron. So EC with Fulgrim isn't that likely coming soon. Russ & Angron have headstart. Automatically Appended Next Post: AdmiralHalsey wrote:But they've already done CSM.

Why not? More cash to be gotten from players. You think they won't redo codexes again?

I'd imagine they get released with "bolt on" data sheets. Kinda like they did the Bone Singer for Eldar recently. That or add them in to the next chapter approved or some kind of campaign supplement.
My real guess though, is that long term goals are to phase out the current lineups of basic marines both loyal and chaos and replace them with the "Primaris" lines. With the addition of the Primaris stuff, Space Marines are carrying an enormous amount of Sku's. Especially with the plastic HH line of marines too. Plus, in an age where most the marine models have been out forever and just about every player has at least a small collection of them, the only way to get new purchases made was/is to release new units. Because while some are happy to buy more to paint them the color of the new hotness, a lot are also content to name them as a random successor chapter and keep using the same old models as each new marine book comes out.
The only way to get marine players to really invest cash again is to gradually make the new stuff more and more appealing to the point they won't mind the old stuff being left on the shelf. All they would have to do is drop the in-game cost of Intercessors just a tad more and those tac squads would really start collecting dust.

I would absolutely buy updated versions of noise marines, berzerkers, multipart chosen, etc. They never bothered to try to tap that market until rubrics were released
