That is the problem with an sort of aregator to make it easier to browse (rather than search) shapeways,
companies and brand owners can use them too
(although hopefully the fairly recent removal of a whole bunch of stuff means GW had been through requested the removal of anything they felt they had a strong objection too since it was individual stuff not whole sellers that got pulled)

What's the point? There aren't enough items aggregated by SB to matter and most designers have their own listing system anyway. Does SB make any money off this or just through back door advertising?

Most people who know about Shapeways and play 40K will already be aware of Pop goes the Monkey (especially given their recent GW troubles) and Gadgets+, and the rest aren't really that great
I'm all for bringing new bits into the limelight but the spikey collection is neither broad enough nor discerning enough to be of use, and carries with it significant risk of drawing these products into GW's gaze
that, and as SlowPoke says, it reeks of self-promotion
