So Chapter Approved has given the Webway Assault stratagem to drukhari and harlequins. All three versions of this stratagem have the same name, and they all say that you can only use the stratagem once per battle. However, each of them is slightly different to accomodate the units of the faction they were made for. The drukhari one specifies that it works on dark eldar infantry, bikes, and beasts, for instance, while the craftworld one only specifies asuryani infantry and bikes.

So you have three stratagems that share a name but have different rules. So. Does the harlequin version of Webway Assault count as being the same as the dark eldar and craftworlder versions for purposes of only being allowed to use the stratagem once?

Followup: If they count as being "the same," could I spend 3CP to deepstrike 2 units instead of 1 (per the stratagem) and then mix and match the types of units I deepstrike? For instance, could I spend 3 CP to deepstrike a squad of harlequins and a unit of razorwings or khymarae?

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

As far as your concerns go, they are three different strats.

As you said, they just happen to share the same name. They're different strats, and they would only affect eligible targets only - no mix and matching - would be HIWPI

If they had the same name, they could not be used simultaneously. But fortunately they all have different names, so can be used together .

Drukhari: Webway Portal
Harlequin : Webway Assault
Aeldari: Webway Strike

Oh shoot! I glanced through a friend's Chapter Approved. I've been calling the Asuryani one Webway Assault, so when I saw the Harlequin one with that name, I must have filed them all away under the same name. Oops! Well that's good news for aeldari super mega webway strike army!
