A really interesting build I have been requested to make, a 40K themed Red October Tractor factory. Here are some screenshots of the WIP. Please note this is in a very basic stage

This is massive! How were you going to paint it? Any flock/rubble to add?

The brickwork on the outside is fairly neat - blue foam?

Do you have an Instagram? It seems most of the painters I've seen are on there.

Very nice start - looking forward to seeing more!

Also, as the Showcase Forum is only for completely finished models, I've moved this over to the P&M Blog section instead...

Thanks for the replies, Yep lots of rubble and other details to add yet, the colour scheme is red brick and grey concrete - lets just say I am not looking forward to painting this monstrosity...

Blue foam indeed my friend - love the stuff so versatile.

Alpharius - My apologies, of course, thank you very much for moving it across, sorry for any inconvenience to yourself.

More pictures to follow

Sorry for the late reply, each section is 2ft x 1 ft and there are 3 sections.

This is a rather late response, but I did not wish to share the completed pictures until my customer had received the finished model. There was a bit of a delay but now all is completed.

I really had a thrilling time building this model and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Since I have both and interest in WW2 and 40K.

Thanks for your interest and having a look,

-Chris

Thanks, the outer walls are foam engraved, A very long job.....

Details are resin accessories, all painted up with acrylic paints. It all comes together.

Very cool Red October factory is my favourite map in the game Red Orchestra 2.

You don't have any more pictures of how you made it and the interior that you can show here do you?

As for how I made it I am afraid not, I did not take many WIP shots. I too loved that map in Red Orchestra, this was based upon that one actually. I have attached some extra interior shots as requested.

Thanks for looking

Thanks for the shots!

There's so many terrain kits out there it's refreshing to be reminded what we can do with foam and hard work.

Cool, thanks for the extra pictures.

Great work on making something like this easily playable on. Makes for quite a nice 3' x 3' table

Thank you both for the kind words. You are quite right, hard work and time is the magic ingredient for creation.

My client was very happy which is best of all.
