So i'm working on some mini coversions for my latest army, and i'm trying to figure out how to make a weapon that is dripping with lava. ANyone have any easy ways or tricks to accomplish this effect?? i was thinking of trying to use drops of hot glue, but not sure.

I would use green stuff. you can pin paperclips to provide some basic structure, then place green stuff balls on the end of them and work them into place the way you want. I can'r remember what product it is, but I've seen people use some kind of clear epoxy or something to create drips on wax paper and then glue them onto weapons to represent blood effects.

You can use undiluted PVA glue built up in 5 or 6 layers. Let it dry in front of a fan to add some texture. I haven't done it on a model, but it worked on this terrain piece.

both of these ideas seem cool. The Green stuff idea was abit of what i originally tried, but it was something iwas struggling to be happy with the out come of.
i'll try the pva glue idea, though i wonder how messy it is??

There will be some drips as it dries, but how much varies based on how much glue you apply. I cut open an empty cereal box and laid it over my cutting mat for drip protection.
