Hello.

I have another question about base sizes but this time about assault marines - what bases do they use now as I thought they were 32mm and might have been in previous editions but from the GW pictures they look like 25mm https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Ten-Man-Assault-Squad

Would make sense if that is the case as every other space marine unit that uses jump packs are on 25mm bases - eg https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Space-Marine-Chaplain-with-Jump-Pack and https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Vanguard-Squad-2015

Thanks.

The first link doesn't exist. The current Assault Squad box from GW is pictured on 32mm bases like every other Space Marine.

The full stop was in the link to the only assault squad on the GW website - I have removed it https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Ten-Man-Assault-Squad

I should have done the obvious thing and searched this forum first - came up with this which says all of the base sizes and agree with you https://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Basing_Guidelines_for_Warhammer_40%2C000

Will need to change all of my models now - all of my marines are currently on 25mm bases including the assault marines I just got off ebay...

No, they are on 32. The new Assault Squad never shipped with 25.

The pictures also show them on 32.

And if your assault marines came with 25mm no requirement to rebase

No you won't. All my marines are on 25mm bases, and there they'll stay. It doesn't make enough difference to be worth the bother.

Same here. Has a tournament ever insisted that marines be on 32?
If not, it's just a matter of personal taste.

Yup, all 20 of my old metal Assault Marines (now Death Company) are on 25mm bases since that is what they originally came with and I am not changing them.

However, the current Assault Marines are on the 32mm bases.

Not gameplay wise. Aesthetically, 25mms are ugly as sin.

Well London GT seems to be trying that rule(see the other thread)
